Yummy Bingham may very well be the future of R&B. She is one of the fastest rising stars plotting an industry takeover. Her soprano voice glides over any song that she sings and the intensity that she brings, adds to to an explosive stage performance. Her voice when she speaks is very light, but her vocal strength is very distinct and in depth.Backed by her talented band, when she sang “The Truth” by India Arie, the “truth” was evident.
She’s up next!

SFPL: Hiiieeee Yummy!
SFPL: How did you get the name Yummy?
YB: My granddaddy gave me that name when I was 1 years old! He called me Yum Yum!
SFPL: Yummy, what does the word FLY mean to you?
YB: It means fluidity. Being naturally, without effort.
SFPL: Being Chaka Khan’s and Aaron Hall’s god-daughter, do you feel it has hindered your success?
YB: Absolutely! They’re impressionable artists from two different time periods. My music speaks for itself though!
SFPL: Describe your personal style in 3 words
YB: Playful, Edgy, Random.
SFPL: Yummy, your outfit is dope, is it vintage?
YB: Yes, I bought this outfit from The West Village! I love it!
SFPL: When can we expect your album to drop?
YB: I’m hoping for a fall release; when school starts! I want the kids to listen to my music on their way to school!
SFPL: Who are you working with?
YB: I’m working with up and coming producers. I hate getting caught up in the who’s who of music. I’m working with Rockwilder and Joseph Lindsey.
SFPL: Where do you expect to be at in 5 years?
YB: Promoting my 3rd album; acting in movies; Marriage; The Ministry.
SFPL: [raised eyebrow] The Ministry?
YB: [wide smile] yes, The Ministry.
