WE tv’s “Cutting It: In the ATL” Returns for Season 2 [Trailer]

The hairdo divas of the south are back, as WE tv’s original hit series Cutting It: In the ATL returns for Season 2 on Thursday, July 14 at 10 PM ET/PT. The series continues to follow five glamorous and headstrong salon owners, and their circle of frenemies, as they compete to dominate the Atlanta hair game. Everyone has their eye on the prize aiming for nothing less than worldwide weave domination…even if that means taking out the competition.

Last season, Dedra tried to bring down her nemesis, Maja Sly, and this season she has a secret that could cost Maja EVERYTHING! Working to upset the Atlanta hair game with some new partners-in-crime, Dedra pokes problems into the fragile partnerships that Maja, Mushiya, Beautii and Lakenya seek to create. But Dedra’s plans backfire in a way that no one expected.

In the first episode, Beautii hosts an industry event with local radio personality Jazzy MacBee. The ladies all come together to support; however, trading business cards quickly turns into throwing shade, as Dedra and her minions bring the event to a hair raising halt. LaKenya is posed with a difficult decision, as she starts to lose clients who are looking for higher quality hair. As a business owner she will do anything to save her business…even if it means engaging the enemy behind Maja’s back. With the title of Atlanta Hair Boss up for grabs, loyalties between Maja, Dedra, Mushiya, Lakenya and Beautii have never been so fleeting. With new faces and personalities on the scene who will come out on top as the HBBIC (Head Beauty Boss in Charge)? Tune in Thursday, July 14 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Sisters in Law follows a group of six talented female black attorneys in Houston as they tackle some of the toughest cases in Texas. In spite of being in a field dominated by men – who are predominately white – these black women have risen through the ranks propelled by their relentless need to achieve justice for their clients. Bonded by their immense passion for law, their gender, and their race over the years they’ve established a close-knit professional and social group. With egos the size of Texas, they at times find themselves at odds as they juggle their careers, families, political aspirations, and social calendars; struggling to remain united in the face of fierce competition — under intense pressure to succeed.

Well, it looks as if the rumors are true! “Tamar & Vince” show is slated for 2012!

Series Begins Production in March

WE tv announced today that the network has greenlit the original series Tamar & Vince (working title) for its 2012 programming slate. The series will showcase Tamar Braxton and husband Vincent Herbert as they navigate their hectic lives, from Tamar’s solo album to Vince’s busy career as a successful music producer. WE tv has ordered eight, one-hour episodes tentatively scheduled to premiere in fourth quarter 2012; production begins in March.

“Tamar & Vince is a great addition to WE tv’s schedule, especially as we expand into a third night of original programming catering to the underserved audience of African-American women that love Braxton Family Values,” said Kim Martin, President & GM, WE tv. “Tamar is a huge part of what’s made that show such a success; she is completely over the top and our viewers just love her!”

“We are so very excited for this amazing opportunity,” said Braxton. “With our family series, Braxton Family Values, we aim to show audiences the true meaning of family and sisterhood, and with our new show, marriage. Our journey as two driven individuals that love as hard as we work is one we think audiences will relate to.”

Tamar & Vince is a spin-off of WE tv’s hit original series, Braxton Family Values, where youngest sister, Tamar, has proven to be the show’s breakout star. This new show will follow Tamar in her ongoing pursuit of pop super stardom, with Vince helping and supporting her every step of the way. In Tamar’s world, anything can happen, but Vince is always there to be the voice of reason, and bring her back down to earth. Viewers will get an inside look at their complicated yet devoted relationship, including how their upscale lifestyle must adjust as Vince recovers from a recent life-threatening health scare.

Tamar & Vince is being produced for WE tv by Magical Elves. Annabelle McDonald serves as the executive producer for the network.

What are your thoughts on the new spin-off show?
