SFPL Music: Chris Brown Taps Usher & Zayn Malik For “Back To Sleep” Remix

Image via Vibe

If you thought Chris Brown’s “Back To Sleep” couldn’t get any steamier then you thought wrong. Brown brought in Usher and Zayn Malik for some assistance on the remix, and boy do they up the ante on an already sexy and sultry track.

Brown also took the opportunity to apologize to his ex Karrueche Tran for all his indiscretions and to express just how much he misses her.

“Now where you been, it’s been a year. Baby I ain’t seen you, you know I miss you/ Baby let me love you back to sleep once more. And I know we don’t speak no more. But I just wanna tell you I’m sorry/ For f**king ’round with Keisha and MaKayla/ For all the Georgia peaches in Decatur/ For all these b—-es in the elevator/ I just want you to love me/ Yeah baby don’t test me/ You know I’ll do it.”

The singer even shouted out her name for the world to hear. Looks like Karrueche might be the one that go away.

“You want me to say your name girl?/ Okay, Karrueche!”

Check out the steamy track below and hopefully there’s an equally enticing video coming soon!

Usher lends a helping hand in the fight against Social Justice. The veteran R&B crooner recently debuted his new Part 2 visual of “Chains.”

During his visit to NYC, Usher Raymond IV, Marvin Bing, Art For Amnesty, Tidal and Sankofa hosted an event called Art for Social Justice: An Artists Collective held at Donna Karen‘s beautiful venue, Urban Zen. Shortly after, he then premiered the second installment of his video, “Chains” directed by Film The Future that brings attention to the young Black and Latino men and women who have been killed over the past few years.

Fly Interviews: Eric Bellinger: “I Would Do A Collaboration Album With Beyonce” [Video]

Singer/Songwriter Eric Bellinger recently stopped by SFPL TV to discuss new music, his inspiration behind providing consistent catalogs of music, the stigma behind “Songwriter vs. Artist”, being an independent artist rather than signed, new tour and so much more.

In case you didn’t know, Eric has worked a number of talents across the board like: Usher, Rihanna, Beyonce, Drake, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Trey Songz, The Game, Tyrese, Teyana Taylor and so many more. Literally, it would take an entire month to name everyone who he’s worked it. Eric is currently signed to independent label 300 Entertainment (distributed by Atlantic Records) founded by Lyor Cohen, Roger Gold, Kevin Liles and Todd Moscowitz.

The 300 sector includes signees like: Fetty Wap, Migos, Young Thug and more.

Eric spoke about being approached by the G.O.O.D Music(s) & the Cash Money(s):

I respect it, but the same attention that [everybody] is giving Lil Wayne and [everybody] is giving Kanye, [I] need that.

Bellinger was also asked, “if he were to do a collab album who would it be with?”

I would have to call on Beyonce. Just to be all the way real, I think with the passion, with the sincerity, with the vocal inflections, the stylistics of her runs, sonically, everything — I think what she’s doing is the BEST.

Recently, teaming up with Toronto’s own Tory Lanez, the two premiered their new collab effort entitled “Don’t Look Down” produced by Samm Busy, Habib, August Grant, & A|C. Check out the visual BTS clip here to see how the pairing came about as they hit the studio.

Fly Interview: August Alsina Talks New Music, Love/Hate with Social Media, His Beloved Brother, Usher, 2 Chainz & more with SFPL TV

In the midst of prepping for his forthcoming album release of This Thing Called Life and his current single “Song Cry”, which is taking over the radio waves and charts, singer/songwriter August Alsina stopped by SFPL TV to catch us up on a few about his music, how he really feels about social media, touring with Usher, 2 Chainz being the first to put him on tour, his brother, personal happenings in his life, and so much more.

About his new album #TTCL:

It’s really, man…”My Journey.” Life has taken me places. I mean, up, down, all around…just taking me places. The good, the bad, i’ve been through it — i’ve dealt with it all. We born, we got put here, we don’t really know what this is all about. We’re all just here trying to figure it out — trying to be a better version of ourselves each and every day. And that’s what my album is, it’s about the Journey. Me trying to figure out “This Thing Called Life.”

What would a conversation with his deceased brother be like today if he were alive:

Ahhhhh…it would probably be very stupid [he says jokily, as he laughs with a huge smile]. You know, my brother always believed in me. Like ALWAYS. To the point where he used to lie to people actually like: “Yeah, my brother got a deal, wu wuu wuuu” — before I even had a deal. He use to just tell people: “Yeah, my brother got a deal, he doing this, and he doing that.” So, I think the conversation would be: “I proud of you n****, like this is dope what you doing.” You know, I think it would be an “I always knew” kind of conversation. I mean, he knew and believed in me before I did; believe in myself.

Last Night In NYC: ‘I Am JoJo Tour’ with JoJo & Aaron Camper at Webster Hall [Photo & Video]

Last Night In NYC…Singer/Songwriter JoJo blessed the Webster Hall stage in The Marlin Room sector with opening act Aaron Camper for the I Am JoJo Tour.

Opening up the night, singer-songwriter-background vocalist (Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown), Aaron Camper hit the stage to get the crowd warmed up.

The talented artist performed a few of his current singles (“Hypnotizing” & “My Heart”), while covering some classic hits like; Ryan Leslie‘s “Quicksand”, Boyz II Men‘s “Water Runs Dry” remixing it with Taylor Swift‘s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” — to current tunes like: Wale feat. Usher’s “Matrimony”, Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth‘s “See You Again” and so much more.

Aaron is just completely a natural talent!

Next up, none other than the gifted JoJo! With excitement in the air and screams from wall-to-wall within a packed out venue, Jo took center-stage and immediately took us back in time to her first self-titled 2004 album (“Baby It’s You”, “Leave (Get Out)”) — along with her second project, The High Road (“Good Ol”, “Like That”).

It was an amazing feeling as the crowd tackled every lyric as if both albums just dropped a day before the actual concert. Later, JoJo transitioned into a few songs from all three of her EPs/Mixtapes, adding up over the years during her tight label situation at Blackground Records, and lastly, gravitating to her current Tringle — a dose of 3-songs all at once. But not stopping there, the songstress even went to deliver her past Drake cover of “Marvin’s Room (Can’t Do Better)” and Jeremih‘s current platinum hit “Planes” featuring J. Cole.

JoJo also got personal with her fans, giving a description of what she’s been through over the years:

“I was depressed…So depressed. You all got me through it.”

She also mentioned how she’s grown into the woman that she is today. It’s clear that JoJo is back and ready to take the music throne.

The night turned out to be quite incredible as JoJo definitely left her mark right in New York City, once again.

Congrats to JoJo and Aaron Camper on a job well done!
