Trinidad James stopped by #SFPLTV to talk about his GRAMMY win for the single “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, new single “Just A Lil Think (She Juicy)” feat. Mystikal & Lil Dicky, the formation of their super group called Tridicktical, fashion, his charity Camp James, in which he just held a sneaker event for the homeless and youth on June 4, 2016 in Los Angeles, and much more.
Trinidad is also now signed to the label RECORDS, a newly formed independent record label in partnership between Barry Weiss and SONGS Music Publishing. SONGS is home to some of today’s premiere artists/songwriters including The Weeknd, Diplo, DJ Mustard and Lorde.
This week, vibrant hip-hop artist Trinidad James exclusively partners with urban pop culture site Bossip to premiere the music video to his summer anthem “Just A Lil Thick (She Juicy)” #JALT. The Jon J-directed music video showcases Trinidad, along with guest artists Mystikal and Lil Dicky at an Atlanta house party where sexy, full figured women rule the roost.
“Don’t hide it. Celebrate it this summer and every day that you live… cause what I do know is life is a speeding bullet out the chamber and this bullet of life can penetrate and surface as long as you believe it can! #JALT is a Female Anthem delivered through the perspective of a Curvy Woman,” says Trinidad James.
The Atlanta rapper continues:
“Every song I heard for the last 3 summers that were “per say” dedicated to the females were always delivered with either “Vixen,” “Bad Bitch,” “Model Chick,” or “Slim Thick” as the canvas. Nothing wrong with that, cause I love those women too, but what about my #CurvyWarriors?! Society has a weird way of showing appreciation for one another. Just let the person on the other side know, somebody got LOVE 4 YOU. Be Big, Be Fine, Be You my Loves.”
Be sure to catch the #Trindicktikal trio’s outrageous appearance on Funny Or Die that premiered on the #1 comedy brand last week. In this cautionary tale called “Watch Yo’ Self,” the 3 rappers find themselves responsible for customer safety at a liquor store.
Designer Isaac Versaw was inspired by “Just A Lil Thick (She Juicy)” for his artistic experiment “Rap, Paper, Scissors.” The project animates GIF’s of hip-hop stars and their famous lines using colorful construction paper and stop-motion video.
Warner Bros. hosted the Entourage “Kick It” Sneaker Exhibit in support of the upcoming release of the film ENTOURAGE at Shoe Palace in Hollywood on Wednesday, May 27th. In case you didn’t know, the TV series turned movie is known for its great cameos especially of the kicks Turtle and the crew were either copping or rocking, which were on display at the event!
Guests chopped it up about the exhibit of the exclusive kicks from the series and film on site while enjoying cocktails by Ciroc and eats from Fat Sal’s. Credit was definitely given for a jam packed event to DJ Drama since he provided a dope soundtrack for the evenings guests that included:
Lance Gross (first appearance as a newlywed) — CONGRATS LANCE!

Hot 97 brought back Def Jam’s newest signee Trinidad James for their monthly Who’s Next concert series held at the world-famous S.O.B.’s night club. James rocked out to a sold out and packed to the nines venue performing some new tunes and of course his smash hit “All Gold Everything”not once but twice. I admit I’m not the biggest Trinidad James fan out there but he did impress me with how he handled the S.O.B.’s crowd. For someone who admitted to have just begun his rap career not too long ago he looked like he’s been rocking stages for a long time. New York was the first stop on his tour and he didn’t disappoint the sold out crowd. Peep photos from his performance last night and video of James performing everyone’s favorite ratchet track “All Gold Everything” below.
Trinidad James gets the whole hood including Big Boi of Outkast to come out for his Decatur Dan directed visual for “$outh$ide” feat.Forte Bowie off his mixtape Don’t Be S.A.F.E which is now on Itunes for purchase (if you havent downloaded it already). It’s going to be a challenge for Mr James duplicate the success of his smash hit “All Gold Everything”. I for one will be looking to see if he s up to the challenge ,it’s hard staying relevant in these music streets now and days. Peep Trinidad’s new visual below.
Bad Boy Records Princess, Cassie teams up with MIA’s Trina and vixen Lola Monroe for a dope remix-cover of “All Gold, All Girls”, which has a hint of Trinidad James’ “All Gold Everything”. The track will appear on Cassie’s upcoming mixtape ‘Rock-A-Bye Baby’. Peep the track below…
Carmelo Anthony lost his cool on Monday night after Kevin Garnett said things to him that he feels shouldn’t be said to “another man.” Allegedly, Kevin invited Carmelo to take a trip to his private parts during a heated exchange of words during the game. This enraged Melo, and his inner ‘Medea’ came out as he waited outside Garnet’s locker room and confronted him (after the Knicks’ loss to Boston) so they could discuss it.
Trinidad James is clearly going to ride the success of this song till the wheels fall off. With numerous remixes surfacing of the hit record this is the first official remix. Trinidad enlist the help of his fellow ATLien’s T.I., Young Jeezy and 2 Chainz. There are rumors of a 17-verse version of the record, and there might be some truth to being that one is labeled the “ATL remix”. French Montana already put his version so there’s definitely more floating around. Checkout the remix after the jump.
