Last Week, during the hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week, Bloggers and Influencers alike were invited to a private dinner with one of the best marketing minds in our Industry, Steve Stoute.
Thsi dinner celebrated and raised awareness for his recently released book, The Tanning of America: How Hip Hop Created a Culture That Rewrote the Rules of the new Economy. The music executive responsible for landing huge collaboration and sponsorship deals for the likes of Mary J. Blige and Justin Timberlake, brought together a group of elite tastemakers including; Karen Civil (KarenCivil.com), Angel Laws (ConcreteLoop.com), Lowkey (YouHeardThatNew.com), Marcus Troy (MarcusTroy.com) and The Life Files just to name a few.
I was honored that Stuff Fly People Like was included, and attended happily on our behalf.
The Evening started off with a meet & greet of all the Media, Influencers and Bloggers invited. We sipped champagne and got acquainted and re-acquainted with one another.
And then entered the man of the hour. Dapper and Sophisticated.
Steve, chatted with each individual invited, giving a prelude to his book, and getting an understanding for each brand represented that evening.
After the meet & Greet, he gave a toast and an introduction of himself and his new work, and the evening began!
Located at TriBeCa’s Jung Sik Restaurant, we dined on a five course Asian-inspired meal complete with champagne and 3 rounds of tequila shots (I think, lol). Besides a great convo with Steve, his Best Buddy, and an idol of mine, Jay-Z came through for a few minutes.
The Dinner was amazing and gave me a new look on Mr. Stoute, Stay tuned for the book review right here on SFPL.
