Certified Fly: The Source 360 Conference Hosts Straight Outta Ferguson Panel, Freshed Dressed Movie Screening And More

The Source 360 Festival /Conference returned for a second year in a row and took the streets of Brooklyn by storm! Lucky enough for us, Team SFPL was on deck for the festivities and we must say, what an eventful time it was!

Last Night In NYC: Bloggers Appreciation Mixer With Blogxilla & Datwon Thomas


Last night in NYC, EIC of Vibe Magazine, Datwon Thomas and Media Personality Blogxilla hosted the 3rd annual Bloggers Appreciation Mixer put together by PR Maven and CEO of Playbook Media Group, Marie Driven at AKOO‘s Showroom in NYC. People came together to mix and mingle while bloggers were appreciated. Artist like Stro and Rell Jerv performed.

Media participants included: Rap Radar’s B.Dot Miller, Steve Raze, Global Grind’s Lindsey India, HeyGorjess, and Billboard’s Patricia Meschino; and Maino, Lyve Bounce Ent., Skoob from Das Efx, Justina Valentine, Money & Violence RayDay and Spliff Star made special guest appearances. Media outlets in attendance were The Source, The Shade Room, HipHopSince 1987, Thisis50, Stuff Fly People Like, Strictly Hip-Hop, Industry Co-sign, Mass Appeal, and many more notable media outlets.

Many patrons sipped on Clique Vodka, and others munched on food bites created by Chefbowyyardie. Chef Cubon provided delicious dessert; Primrose Couture Events provided the floral centerpiece, and Monster Energy provided the gift bags.

Last Night in NYC: Waka Flocka and Friends Live At B.B.Kings Sponsored By The Source Magazine


Last Night on a very cold night in NYC Team SFPL was in the building as Waka Flocka hit the stage at the world-famous B.B. KIng Blues Club & Grill in the heart of Times Square NYC. He celebrated his hit single “No Hands” hitting triple platinum status and at the same time performing for a good cause as all proceeds of the show went to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Renowned hip-hop publication The Source Magazine sponsored the event while DJ Self and Team GWIN kept the crowd “Turnt Up” at all times. Waka wasn’t alone as he brought friends along to celebrate the occassion, Erick Sermon, Raekwon, Swizz Beatz, Maino and Wyclef all hit the stage and performed. Others in attendance were Scarface, Audra The Rapper and Chris Brown’s artist LoverBoy TJ .Checkout the rest of the pics from the night below.

To aid in celebrating the 6th annual BET Hip Hop Awards, street luxury clothing brand Fli Pelican presented an array of hip hop-inspired pieces that combine music and fashion with official media partner The Source magazine and lifestyle and recording label Zone 4 Inc. creating a unique gifting experience. Verse Simmons  was among one of the Attendees who experienced exclusively picked Fli Pelican pieces placed throughout the venue showcasing the brand’s musically influenced pieces.


The brand previewed pieces from their “No Sucka S#it” line and never before seen Fall line, the fashion experience was definitely a unique one.

Celebrities enjoyed The Source’s Media Lounge where Fli Pelican commercials and promotional tools and key sponsors were made available.

Tupac Shakur’s sister, Set Shakur (pictured above), enjoyed several, hand picked artists pay tribute to her brother, in memory  of the 15th anniversary of his death.
