The Right Move: Janelle Monae Confirms Kim Burrell WILL NOT Be Performing On The Ellen Show!

* Update * Ellen DeGeneres has also confirmed that Kim Burrell will not be appearing on the show.

She’s out! Kim Burrell’s homophobic got the gospel singer officially removed from performing alongside Pharrell on The Ellen Show.

TMZ caught up with Janelle and asked her the million dollar question about Burrell performing and she confirmed that Burrell was indeed out.

“I don’t think she’s performing, she’s not performing! I am huge advocate for the other, and I don’t stand for any hate speech or anything that targets our fellow brothers and sisters in a negative way.”

The TMZ cameraman also asked if Burrell’s part on the song should be nixed? or if Janelle would ever perform with Burrell again? He got no reply on either question. Before the ax came down on Burrell’s performance both Pharrell and Janelle both spoke out issuing statements via social media about the issue.

It was definitely the right move to make as hateful rhetoric should not be tolerated at any cost. The Ellen Show has yet to respond on the situation. We hope Kim learns from her huge mistake. On a positive note Hidden Figures is in theaters January 6th, we got a chance to see the inspirational tale early and it’s absolutely amazing. Janelle, Taraji and Octavia were absolutely shined in the film, so make sure you and the family see that and start your new year off with some inspiration.

It’s becoming a well-known tradition that every year, talk show host of The Ellen Show, Ellen DeGeneres send her producer Andy Lassner to a haunted house. This time, Andy was accompanied by his assistant Jacqueline who didn’t quite help the experience as they traveled through Universal StudiosHorror Night Exorcist Maze.

Watch Hillary Clinton and Ken Bone Dance-Off in Hilarious Spoof of The Presidential Debate on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

You can always count on Ellen to bring the humor to something as serious as this year’s Presidential Election. Hillary Clinton who is currently cruising to victory in light of recent allegations against her opponent and making history becoming our first woman President stopped by The Ellen Show.

She spoke about the latest debate, her infamous shimmy, Michelle Obama’s amazing speech, her wish for her upcoming 69th birthday, the current situation going on withTrump and of course Donald’s weird stalking behavior during the last debate.

What took the cake though was a video Ellen played for Hillary featuring her and overnight social media darling (strangely still undecided) Ken Bone engaged in a dance-off. The hilarious part is Hillary is still answering the debate question while she is hitting her dance moves. Kanye West Keeps It All The Way 100 on ‘The Ellen Show’ [Video]

Now, normally we tend to tilt our heads, and squint our eyes at Kanye West‘s speeches or social media rants, and outbursts. But this time, The Life of Pablo rapper-producer-designer gives a clear understanding on what his intentions are behind what we would call: “his random moments”, when all he is simply just trying to do is “change the world”, he says.

“Michael Jackson and Russell Simmons is the reason why I was able to go so far in music.”

“I have to be Michael Jackson of apparel in order to break open doors.”

Recently, West had great conversation with Ellen Degeneres on The Ellen Show as they discussed Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s social antics, his reasoning behind just simply being real, how we’re in a Renaissance period, and that he was raised to make a difference. He even references a few classic lines from rapper Rakim, which Ye says he was raised on; including Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, paired with overall Hip-Hop music, and expression.

Check out the special clip above.

Ellen Degeneres Scares The Hotline Bling Out of Drake on ‘The Ellen Show’ [Video]

It was all good in the hood of The Ellen Show, as Drake sat down with Ellen Degeneres to discuss his recent double SNL appearance. The VIEWS rapper/singer also talked about performing his hit single “One Dance” for the first time, while out of breath, due to literally running from one side of the stage, to the next. He also spoke about meeting 8-year-old viral/social media star Demarjay Smith at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, his “friendship” with Rihanna and more.

But while in full convo, and watching a video about Ellen dancing on a previous show with an “animated Drizzy” sitting on her shoulder, Ellen then scared the crap out Drake as one of her prank-henchman popped out of a box next to his seat, donned in the exact outfit from the “Hotline Bling” visual.

Take a look at part of the interview and the hilarious moment above.

Kanye West makes a stop by The Ellen Show and gave Ellen a first-look at his new video “Only One,” (his first collaboration with Paul McCartney) which features his baby girl, North West.

In the video, West steps out on a misty, rainy day and enjoys the company of his dear daughter Nori, as he sings the words to the beautiful; and runs down a concrete trail out of breath.

The video in full, has to be the most adorable thing ever, and quite the breathtaking moment.

Also, we can’t help but laugh at Nori’s face as she gives a slight side-eye to the camera. She definitely got the memo of her father’s “no smile” method. Lol! We love it!
