New Music: Rick Ross & Skrillex – “Purple Lamborghini” off Suicide Squad Soundtrack

Rick Ross and Skrillex connect on “Purple Lamborghini” off the upcoming Suicide Squad movie soundtrack. The hip hop and EDM infused track is the perfect combination of grit and insanity, clearly keeping in line with the theme of the latest super hero or should I say anti-super hero film.

The film’s soundtrack also features tracks by Grimes, Eminem, Kevin Gates, Action Bronson, Dan Auerbach, Mark Ronson, Lil’ Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Ty Dolla $ign, Logic, X Ambassadors, and more.

Listen to high energy track below. The Suicide Squad movie and soundtrack will be out August 5.

Zoolander 2 looks to top the ridiculousness of the first movie as this trailer is full of outrageous moments such as Derek taking selfies utilizing a selfie-stick while driving, puppy throwing, knife throwing, and a pretty awful make out session between Mugatu (Will Farrell) and new villain played by Kristen Wiig are just a portion of  the craziness to expect in the film. Fly News: PUSHA T Announced President of G.O.O.D. MUSIC

Pusha T, the Grammy®-nominated, multi-platinum artist and producer, and a key architect of today’s post-modern hip-hop/pop universe, has been appointed president, G.O.O.D. Music, it was announced today by label founder Kanye West.

Pusha recently spoke with Billboard about the G.O.O.D. News:

A big congratulations are in order. Just got word that you will be the president of G.O.O.D. Music. How was the offer presented you?

Actually, I was flying home and I had just got into my car at the airport. ‘Ye had called me and he was like, “Tell me something. What do you think about being the president of G.O.O.D. Music?” And I was like, “Well, what are the things that you’re looking for?” And he was basically just like, to manicure the label, make it profitable and be very business-oriented about it going forward in a manicured type of way.

In addition to his new role at G.O.O.D. Music, Pusha T is a co-founder(with his brother Gene “No Malice” Thornton) of Play Cloths, a successful Street wear line, and as an early investor in Mass Appeal. Pusha T is also a frequent collaborator with the adidas Originals brand, most recently taking part in the brand’s Spring / Summer ‘Superstar’ 2015 campaign.

In a perfect world, what would G.O.O.D. Music look like to you in the next five months?

I just look at capitalizing on everything that I feel like G.O.O.D. Music brings to the music industry, our following, and the culture. First of all, we have incredible artists. It’s definitely about getting those albums out in a very manicured fashion. We have great artistic talent that sort of walk the lines of bringing that excitement back in regards to just the art that goes along with it like DONDA, the merch and things like that. Things that kids are really into these days. You see how fashion takes over and these pop-up shops take over and how the music business is a real touring business now, just the things associated with it. Just building it out to make sure that everybody on the label is really capitalizing off of all the assets that really come with GOOD Music, that we really started, that we’ve really been good at. Just really executing all the different avenues of music, art, culture and fashion as well.

Since 2011, G.O.O.D. Music (Getting Out Our Dreams) has been signed to an exclusive worldwide label agreement with Def Jam Recordings, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG). G.O.O.D. Music is currently home to an acclaimed artist roster that includes Big Sean, Q-Tip, Teyana Taylor, Kacy Hill, and Pusha T himself, among others. G.O.O.D. Music has amassed scores of certified gold, platinum, and multi-platinum selling albums and singles.

Since his signing to G.O.O.D. Music in 2010, Pusha T has garnered an impressive track record. He was featured with Kanye West in 2010, on the RIAA platinum “Runaway” from Mr. West’s classic album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. In 2012, Pusha T took the lead on a number of tracks from Kanye West’s influential Cruel Summer album, most notably the #1 triple-platinum “Mercy” (with Big Sean and 2 Chainz). Pusha T has been featured on literally dozens of tracks by such artists as Lorde, Puffy Daddy, Jeezy, Future, The-Dream, Trey Songz, Rick Ross, Chris Brown and has become a sought after collaborator with EDM’s biggest names following the success of his track “Burial” with Yogi and Skrillex. Throughout 2015 Pusha T’s music has scored many of the biggest moments in film, television and commercials providing the soundtrack for everything from adidas campaigns to the VMAs. Pusha T’s 2013 debut solo album for G.O.O.D. Music, My Name Is My Name, entered the Billboard Hip-Hop Album Chart at #2.

Pusha T (born Terrence Thornton in the Bronx) emerged in the fertile hip-hop music scene centered in Virginia Beach, not far from where he grew up in Norfolk. In 1992, he and his brother Gene formed the much revered, platinum selling rap duo the Clipse.

Congrats Pusha T!

Fly Visual: Justin Bieber – “Sorry”

Riding high off of his single-cut “What Do You Mean?” comes yet another new jawn from Justin Bieber entitled “Sorry.” The dancehall-inspired track was produced by Skrillex, which finds the Biebs apologizing for a relationship that went sour. It’s even been mentioned/rumored that it could possibly be dedicated to Justin’s ex, singer-songwriter-actress, Selena Gomez.

The video, however, delivers a dance interpretation by a collective of extremely talented female dancers, and carries an abundance of dancehall movements — but doesn’t reflect the culture (Jamaica, Virgin Islands, etc.) at all in color…besides the style of clothing and bright colors. Could Bieber received flack behind the visual? There’s a strong possibility. Overall, the video and choreography is very on-point.

New Video: Skrillex and Diplo feat. Justin Bieber – “Where Are Ü Now”

justin bieber where are u now

Skrillex and Diplo team up with Justin Bieber for the most-anticipated visual entitled “Where Are Ü Now.” Both super producers have joined forces, which formed the name Jack Ü. The official track currently resides in the Billboard‘s Top 20 Dance Chart; making it the duo’s first hit single as a team.

In the video, Justin lays down his soulful vocals in the midst of an array of colors and drawing, mapping out Bieber’s inner feelings.

“You have art being done in the background where they are actually taking each frame and giving it to an artist and they all are painting,” Bieber told ABC News.

“We rented out an art gallery and then from there we took all the frames from the video and invited different artists, fans, whoever wanted to come and draw on the different framed,” DJ and producer Skrillex added.

JB is currently in the studio working on his album [since 2012’s Believe] with Kanye West and Rick Rubin.

New Video: A$AP Rocky – “Wild For The Night” Feat Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam

A$AP and his mob take their act to the Dominican Republic in his new visual for “Wild For The Night” featuring Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam . The video has a “City of God” theme to it as A$AP and his crew parade around in the slums of D.R. Frankly this video has pretty much let me know everywhere has a ghetto seriously and to stay clear of the hood if I ever take a trip to D.R. Still a pretty cool visual from the P.M.F. hopefully we can get a video for “1 Train” . Checkout the visual for “Wild For The Night” below.
