Reebok Re-Releases Iconic Question Mid OG

j82534_questionmid_blueog_2

The Year of the Question started with the Prototype, and as it nears the end, comes back with a classic.

For one of the final installments of the 20th anniversary of the Reebok Question Mid in 2017, Reebok is re-releasing the Question Mid OG Blue Toe, which Allen Iverson wore on the court regularly in his rookie year, and was the shoe he wore during his iconic “crossover” moment.

The style of the shoe is emblematic of his game; the Hexalite midsole construction, bold shades, and ice sole complemented his game and team’s classic colors. The crisp white leather upper is the perfect canvas for vibrant red hits of the classic Vector branding on the tongue and side panels.

The Reebok Classic Question Mid OG Blue Toe is now available and is selling for $140 at Reebok.com and select retailers including Finish Line, Footaction and Champs Sports.

You can also go check out the full collection of 20 for 20 Year of the Question at www.reebok.com/2020.

Reebok and J.J. Watt Celebrate Veterans With JJ I Military Edition

To honor our veterans this month, Reebok released the newest colorway of J.J. Watt’s first signature training shoe – the ‘JJ I Military Edition’.

Inspired by J.J.’s appreciation for our servicemen and women, the Military Edition of the ultimate training shoe is created to inspire others to show their support at this time of year.

The JJ I Military Edition also leads the proud partnership between Reebok and the Boot Campaign, which raises awareness of the unique challenges that service members face during and post service (www.bootcampaign.org). The multi-channel marketing push for the JJ I Military Edition features the Boot Campaign throughout, spreading the word for a cause close to the hearts of J.J. and Reebok.

In J.J.’s words:

“We as athletes are often the subject of headlines and highlights, when in fact it is the men and women of our military who truly deserve the adoration and praise. I chase a ball around a field for a living. These men and women lay their lives on the line to secure and protect our freedom. They are real American heroes. The JJ I Military Edition was inspired by them and serves as a daily reminder to take advantage of every opportunity this great country has to offer thanks to these men and women. Reebok and I are very proud to support The Boot Campaign and all of the men and women who are so deserving of our respect.”

As well as featuring all the technology that makes the JJ I the ultimate training shoe, the new colorway pays homage to J.J.’s appreciation for our troops with subtle sandstone, brown, and tan colors along with a camouflage outsole and bottom.

Reebok has a longstanding and year-round support for the military. The global fitness brand offers 20% off all product to military, veterans, first responders, and their families throughout the year.

The new JJ I Military Edition is available now for $99 at Reebok.com.

Reebok and Kendrick Lamar Release Final ‘Red and Blue’ Capsule Collection

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Following the success of this summer’s red & blue capsule, Reebok Classic and Kendrick Lamar drop the final installment in the inspirational ‘Red and Blue’ collection.

bs7465_heel

After dominating this year’s music award show season and dropping his third major label studio album to critical acclaim, Kendrick returns with the Classic Leather Lux. A timeless yet distinctive design, the sneaker is executed in olive green premium leather, representing the Compton saying that “mixing Red and Blue makes Green’; when we come together united we can inspire and encourage growth. The eye-catching green combined with embossed accents of red and blue text on the heel tabs, to symbolize the existing divide between gangs and to emphasize Kendrick’s message of a call for neutrality. A retro gum sole provides an interesting contrast to the muted green upper, and the starcrest tongue branding completes the look in Classic style.

Speaking to the collaboration, Kendrick Lamar said:

“Similar to my collaborations with Reebok in the past, I want to create products that provide fans with larger meanings and messages – particularly ones that inspire unity and growth within communities and youth. In Compton, we have a saying that ‘mixing Red and Blue makes Green.’ While ‘green’ is usually thought of in a monetary respect here, this shoe represents a new definition of ‘green’ – community growth. If we work together, we can break down barriers and prosper.”

Available in unisex and kid’s sizes, the Reebok Classic x Kendrick Lamar Classic Leather Lux is available at Reebok.com and limited global retailers on Black Friday, November 25th 2016.

Hall of Fame x Reebok Question Mid launching Friday, November 11th

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Hall of Fame is the next brand to collaborate with Reebok to help celebrate the Year of the Question, with their very own 20th anniversary edition of the legendary Allen Iverson signature shoe. Like many of the other collaborators throughout the Question’s big year, the Los Angeles-based sportswear label looks to an important piece of Iverson’s history and style on and off the court for inspiration for their colorway. In this case, Hall of Fame highlights one of AI’s most iconic style statements: his cornrows.

The shoe is constructed in a premium black nubuck upper with woven paneling referencing his braids, all in a deconstructed design with the usual padding removed to create a sleeker, lifestyle-minded silhouette. Further refinements to the Question by Hall of Fame include leather utilized for the lace gillies, inner lining, and sockliner, along with embossed leather branding throughout. Every pair will also come with multiple lace options in Philly’s alternate uniform colors.

The Hall of Fame x Reebok Question Mid launches at Hall of Fame’s LA store and on HallofFameLTD.com this week, and on Reebok.com and select Reebok Classic retailers this Friday, November 11th.

Introducing The New Reebok InstaPump Fury Overbranded for Men and Women

unspecified-11

Reebok Classic is proud to announce the latest iteration of the esteemed Fury franchise with the launch of the white and black InstaPump Fury Overbranded.

unspecified-8

Including an abstracted, overblown black Reebok vector against a clean white upper, this unisex style has been a tour favorite of Future’s this summer and will be available to purchase for the first time at the new Reebok Fury Pop Up Shop in NYC on October 11 and 12.

unspecified-12

The InstaPump Fury is one of the crown jewels of the Reebok Classic collection.  First launched in 1994, the futuristic silhouette was very advanced for its time with its inverted Pump air bladder, cutouts, and split midsole, and inspired many collaborations with artists, designers and retailers over the years. Ahead of its time since day one, the InstaPump Fury remains a cult favorite amongst collectors and consumers alike.

The Fury Adapt and Furylite round out Reebok Classic’s Fury collection this Fall with the same DNA and spirit that inspired the original. True to its name, the Fury Adapt is a modern take on a global icon. Geometric and bold like its predecessor, but with a slimmed, sportier silhouette, the Fury Adapt is a look that stands alone. The Furylite is the next generation of a classic. With striking, angular layers of graphics and texture, the Furylite radiates with individuality and is primed to unleash its own legacy.

The white and black InstaPump Fury Overbranded ($175) will be available for purchase at the Reebok Fury Pop Up Shop in NYC from 4-6pm on October 11th (pre-sale) and October 12th from 12-6pm. The model will officially launch nationwide on October 12th at Footaction and Reebok.com

Reebok and Jadakiss Launch Question-Mid “A5”

unnamed-1

Reebok, Allen Iverson and Jadakiss have had a long and colorful history together. In 2001, the three parties came together to shoot a game-changing commercial for Iverson’s Answer V sneaker launch. Shot entirely in black-and-white, Jadakiss penned an original song for the commercial, which showed Iverson displaying his basketball skills while Jadakiss rapped along in beat to Iverson’s performance, cementing Reebok as the first brand to truly fuse hip-hop with the sportswear industry.

The classic ad further emphasized Iverson’s place in hip-hop culture and has become one of the most iconic sneaker commercials ever, and also began a relationship between Reebok and Jadakiss that continues today with the all-new Question Mid “A5”.

unnamed

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Question Mid this year, Reebok has created the new Question Mid “A5,” which is inspired by the OG Answer V sneaker, with a tumbled black leather and ballistic nylon upper accented by reflective silver piping and toe cap. Hits of translucent red adorn the sole as well as a distinctive red Question logo at the collar and “Y” and “O” on either heel which represent Jada’s hometown of Yonkers.

Reebok and Jadakiss, along with Cam’ron, celebrating the launch of the shoe with an All-Star event in Rucker Park last week.

The Reebok Question “A5” will be available for $139.99 on Friday, August 12th, at retailers including Reebok.com, Jimmy Jazz, Footaction, Finish Line and Champs.

Reebok teams with Cam’ron and Jadakiss to launch the Question Mid EBC and A5 sneakers at Rucker Park

unnamed

Recently in Harlem, NYC, Reebok Classic visited the famed Rucker Park for the Entertainment Basketball Classic to launch the Question Mid EBC and A5 sneakers as part of the iconic Question Mid’s 20th anniversary this year.

The one and only Cam’ron was on site to support the Question Mid EBC, which was inspired by Allen Iverson’s first appearance at Rucker Park in 1996.  Jadakiss was also on-site supporting the new Question Mid A5 sneaker, which was inspired by the original Answer V sneaker in 2001 where Jadakiss starred in the now famous Reebok commercial in 2001 when he rapped alongside Allen Iverson. Jahlil Beats as well as Sway Calloway were also on-site to support the Question Mid launches.

Cam’ron and Jadakiss met with a heated throng of fans on site and watched the All-Star EBC game from the sidelines where one team wore the Question Mid A5 and the other wore the EBC style for a true head-to-head match up.

The Question Mid EBC launches today at retailers nationwide and the Question Mid A5 will launch next Friday, August 15th.

QUESTION MID EBC:

Like many basketball legends starting out in their careers, Allen Iverson visited the legendary Rucker Park in Harlem, New York City to play an exhibition game.  A week before being selected as the #1 pick in the 1996 NBA Draft, Iverson went to Rucker Park on a hot summer night in June 18th, 1996 for the Entertainer’s Basketball Classic (EBC) and brought his electrifying mastery of the court to life to a crowd of fans that overflowed the park.  Largely credited with introducing his version of street ball to the larger basketball community, Iverson wowed everyone with his bombastic, unapologetic style of play that he would hone throughout his career.

To commemorate Iverson’s historic appearance at Rucker Park, Reebok Classic teamed up with the EBC program’s founder Greg Marius for the Reebok Question Mid EBC.  The style pays homage to the color scheme that Iverson wore that evening, with an upper made of jersey mesh, gold suede and navy leather.  The words “Standing Room Only” replaces the Question logo at the collar of each shoe, referencing the packed fans that night at Rucker Park.

The Reebok Question Mid EBC will be available for $139.99 on Friday, August 5th, at retailers including Reebok.com, Jimmy Jazz, Footaction, Finish Line and Champs.

Allen Iverson, Jadakiss and Reebok have had a long and colorful history together.  In 2001, the three parties came together to shoot a game-changing commercial for Iverson’s A5 sneaker launch that year.  Shot entirely in black-and-white, Jadakiss penned an original song for the commercial, which showed Iverson displaying his infamous skills while Jadakiss rapped along in beat to Iverson’s performance, cementing Reebok as the first brand to truly fuse hip-hop with the sportswear industry.

To commemorate this historic moment, the Question Mid “A5” takes color inspiration from the OG A5 sneaker, with a sleek black leather and mesh upper accented by reflective grey piping and toe box.  Hits of red adorn the sole with a distinctive red Question logo at the collar and a Roman numeral “V” logo at the heel.

The Reebok Question “A5” will be available for $139.99 on Friday, August 12th, at retailers including Reebok.com, Jimmy Jazz, Footaction, Finish Line and Champs.
