https://soundcloud.com/ellebofficial/loveonthebrain

Elle B‘s been working under the radar with her team Water Music Publishing on her very own EP, as well as, being featured on a couple of project’s with other artist that is soon to be released.

In the meantime, Elle decided to hit us with a stripped down, raw version of her new Rihanna “Love On The Brain” cover. The talented singer channeled her inner Amy Winehouse, Prince and Al Green vibes, and poured her heart and soul all over the record from beginning to end.

She wanted to keep the song completely honest and true to how she was feeling at that moment, flaws and all. The official vocal cover will leave you with goosebumps and craving more from the new young artist. To add, the cover is completely raw with NO edits on the vocals.

Check it out above.

SFPL Music: Prince Drops Surprise Album ‘HitNRun Phase Two’

prince-hitnrun-phase-two

EXPANSIVE COLLECTION OF SONGS FEATURES THE NEW POWER GENERATION
AND WAS IN THE MAKING FOR 3.5 YEARS

Multi-platinum music icon Prince has surprised fans globally with the unexpected release of a new 12-song album, HITNRUN PHASE TWO. The expansive collection of songs, many featuring his super-group The New Power Generation, appeared exclusively on TIDAL today at 9AM ET.

The album was meticulously crafted over a nearly four-year period – gradually adding songs until the sequence was perfected and ready for release. A 16-member horn section is featured throughout the album, combining Prince’s NPG HORNZ and Minneapolis’ HORNHEADS, the latter a frequent addition to his larger studio ensemble.

Prince’s quintessential songwriting and inimitable vocal abilities are on full display in songs such as “ROCKNROLL LOVEAFFAIR,” “LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT U,” “WHEN SHE COMES,” and the breath-taking ballad “REVELATION.” Also included in the sequence is the protest song “BALTIMORE,” which received rave reviews upon release earlier this year.

NPR’s Ann Powers noted:

“BALTIMORE is truly a Sly protest – that is, in the style of Sly and the Family Stone, specifically the band’s early, joyful, genre-obliterating anthems like “Everyday People.” At its peak, “BALTIMORE” presents itself as a new “Dancing in the Streets” – a song that offers a brand new beat in the name of real change.”

The project was recorded fully in analog, giving it a lushness and human quality that defies the current computer-driven trend prevalent in practically all popular music today. PHASE TWO follows on HITNRUN PHASE ONE, released September 7th, 2015 to widespread praise.

Entertainment Weekly described the album as:

“An invigorating, eclectic modern pop record… equal parts hedonistic arena rock, chugging funk, and art-mutated pop.”

For those who know and love Prince’s past work – his otherworldly musicianship and obvious respect of the craft – HITNRUN PHASE TWO will be a very welcomed addition to the collection; a gift to Prince’s Purple Collective and an instant standout in his already unparalleled 38 album catalog.

Miguel Reveals Album Cover Art For ‘Wildheart’

miguel-wildheart

Working on his fitness, Miguel is back after a long hiatus delivering his new cover art for the upcoming album Wildheart. The visual display gives an impression that the talented singer may have been doing a little research of the psychedelic times of George Clinton, Jimi Hendrix infused with Snoop Dogg, even Prince for the most part. Either way, Miguel is on to something that may be quite big.

Miguel also speaks about the June 30th release to VH1:

“This album is Los Angeles, it’s attitude, it’s aggression, it’s sex, it’s pyschedelia, it’s lust, it’s loneliness…It’s just more aggressive. It’s just raw. That’s why I love this album.”

Four favorite of songs off the album that Miguel is proud of; “Leaves,” “Face The Sun,” “A Beautiful Exit,” and “In The Valley.”

If you were feeling Kaleidoscope Dream, then prepare yourselves for the sensual, “sex” album.
