SFPL Premiere: Timothy Bloom – “For Love” [New Video]

[ione_embed src=https://www.youtube.com/embed/CKwieDUMsvo service=youtube width=640 height=360 type=iframe]

2x Grammy-award winning recording artist and songwriter Timothy Bloom premieres his new video here on SFPL for the fan favorite song “For Love.” The video touches on the challenges of being a musician who is in a romantic relationship. Although, based on Timothy’s experience, the video depicts the struggle and choices that anyone with a demanding career and a family faces. The song has been a favorite at shows for the last few years and at the behest of his fans, Timothy has created a compelling visual for the song.

When asked why he was releasing the video for a song off an older project Timothy responded:

“With the state of the world today, we all need to focus on love. I end all my shows with this song because I want everyone to leave feeling love. This video is needed to remind people that love is what’s important.”

Bloom recently released disc one, The Beginning of the upcoming trilogy series, The Life Trilogy. Disc two will be released later this Summer. Timothy’s refreshing voice and sound reflect the multiple influences of his musical heroes and his varied upbringing. He attributes his unique blend to the styles he heard growing up. Rock, Folk, Gospel, R&B—all these elements and more add to his unique, signature style.

Timothy received praise from a few of the music industry’s elite:

“I feel about Timothy the same way I felt when I first met TuPac as far as artistic talent, hunger and quest. He has a real skillful driven soul ”– Chuck D

“This guy was born to communicate. His delivery is effortless, the songwriting and production are top-notch. But it’s Timothy’s voice and the way he emotes through his melodies and lyrics that really stays with you, long after the song has faded. He’s the real deal.” -Dave Koz

“Timothy is very talented, sincere, and passionate about good, relevant music. His music has all those elements. That’s a hard combination to beat.” – Herbie Hancock

"WE tv Hosts Exclusive Premiere Screening For New Series "Sisters In Law""

Sisters in Law follows a group of six talented female black attorneys in Houston as they tackle some of the toughest cases in Texas. In spite of being in a field dominated by men – who are predominately white – these black women have risen through the ranks propelled by their relentless need to achieve justice for their clients. Bonded by their immense passion for law, their gender, and their race over the years they’ve established a close-knit professional and social group. With egos the size of Texas, they at times find themselves at odds as they juggle their careers, families, political aspirations, and social calendars; struggling to remain united in the face of fierce competition — under intense pressure to succeed.

Sisters in Law premieres tonight on We tv at 10 p.m. ET/PT and trust us you want to tune it. If you won’t take our word for it, watch the first look trailer below. If you’d like to check out more pictures from the evening hit the gallery below and remember stay fly!

Last NIGHT in NYC: Mooz-Lum Premiere …

Last Night Team SFPL was out in full force as we made our way to some of NYC’s most exclusive Events. The first stop was the NYC Premiere of Mooz-Lum.

Nia Long, star of the upcoming film MOOZ-LUM, was on deck for the private media screening of the indie flick last night at the Eventi Hotel in New York City. TV/radio personality FREE moderated the post-screening discussion which featured MOOZ-LUM writer/director Qasim “Q” Basir and producer Dana Offenbach. This filmed served up a perfect sea of emotions for us as we watched the film about a young man (Evan Ross) and the difficulties he faced coming to terms with his Muslim Culture. Touching on everything from Racism to abuse, this film is sure to leave a mark in your hearts. It was an excellent film.  Evan Ross, Danny Glover, Roger Guenveur Smith and Dorian Missick also star in the film which opens in theaters February 11, 2011.

Peep some of the Q & A with Q, Nia and Dana
