Now, I won’t be a Bey Stan and jump all over Rihanna for this comment. She’s right, she has in fact carved a lane of her own. This is true. She makes hits. Great ones. And her charisma, fashion and music have catapulted her to the star status she currently receives. If that’s her league, (air quotation marks) she’s definitely right. And if that league includes her vocals and performances, she’s DEFINITELY right, that league is all her own.
