New Videos: Miguel feat. Kurupt – “NWA” & “…going to hell”

As apart of his visual compilation Wildheart Chapter 1: Find What You Love and Let It Kill You, singer-songwriter Miguel brings two visuals separately out the gate; “NWA” featuring Kurupt and “…goingtohell.”

Just in time for the upcoming film STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, Migs walks the local streets of California, donned in all-black with a leather biker jacket, of course, as he sings the words to his own tune. In the process of walking, Miguel jumps in a car with Kurupt.

In 1980’s California, a group of young men (O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell) formed the hip-hop group N.W.A and revolutionized music and pop culture with brutally honest songs about life in the ‘hood.

Last night, July 22, 2015 Ice Cube, F. Gary Gray, Big Sean, O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Jason Mitchell hosted a private screening of the Universal Pictures’ film STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON.

Watch: Dr. Dre Talks New Film STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON with Big Boy on the Real 92.3

Yesterday, one of hip-hop’s most revered producers came to Big Boy’s neighborhood! Dr. Dre sat down to discuss the highly-anticipated NWA biopic set to release this summer.

“I was worried about it at the beginning. I read it (the script) and was like ‘okay, we can work with this; we can really turn this into something’. Then when Gary Gray got on board that was it. I was in.”

 

In the interview, he discusses making some of hip hop’s most classic hits like “Nothing But a G Thang,” watching acting newbie Corey Hawkins portray Dr. Dre on-screen, and dispelling some of the myths about NWA’s legacy.
