Fellas and ladies you ever wanted a chance to play in the NBA? You ever wanted to get paid to play eSports? Well the NBA and Take-Two Interactive are going to give you your chance at both!
Now how you might ask? Well today the NBA and Take-Two Interactive the company behind the beloved NBA video game simulator NBA2K announced that will be starting their own eLeague. Each of the NBA’s real franchises will have their own virtual franchise and will draft the best NBA2K players. This move marks the first time a professional eSports league will be owned and operated by a U.S. professional sports league. NFL, MLB, NHL,FIFA and WTA your move!
Each player will have their own virtual avatar, the eLeague will follow a professional sports league format. Players will face off head-to-head and will participate in a bracketed playoff system and then a championship game. So basically this will the virtual players job!

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 9, 2017– The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) today announced plans to launch the NBA 2K eLeague, a new, professional competitive gaming league that will bring together the best basketball gamers in the world. This marks the first official eSports league operated by a U.S. professional sports league.
Set to debut in 2018, this groundbreaking competitive gaming league will consist of teams operated by actual NBA franchises. The founding teams, each composed of five professional eSports players who will play the game as user-created avatars, will be announced in the coming months. The NBA 2K eLeague will follow a professional sports league format: competing head-to-head throughout a regular season, participating in a bracketed playoff system, and concluding with a championship matchup.

The relationship between NBA and Take-Two dates back to 1999, with the NBA 2K series selling over 68 million units worldwide. The most recent release, NBA 2K17, is the highest-rated annual sports game of the current console generation and the highest-rated title in the history of the NBA 2K series.(1) To date, NBA 2K17 has sold-in nearly 7 million units, and is poised to become 2K’s highest-selling sports title ever.
In December, 2K launched its second official eSports competition, NBA 2K17 All-Star Tournament, which offers teams of gamers the chance to win a trip to NBA All-Star 2017. The 5-on-5 tournament, featuring a $250,000 grand prize, will culminate on Feb. 17 in New Orleans.
Remember when they used to say playing video games were a waste of time? Yeah me neither! eSports are definitely the future and the NBA recognizes that! I won’t be surprised if other professional sports leagues like the MLB, NFL, NASCAR, FIFA, WTA and PGA follow suit eventually.
Cleveland put on a parade for the ages to celebrate ending their 52-year-old championship drought. It definitely looked like all of Cleveland and them some were on hand to congratulate LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With approximately 1.3 million fans on hand, some of them even slept overnight on sidewalks to ensure themselves a good spot to see their champions and let them know just how thankful they are. They all converged on downtown Cleveland and at one point even spilled into the streets along the parade route. Unanimous NBA Finals MVP LeBron James and big shot maker Kyrie Irving slowly navigated the parade route in style riding in Bron of course in a Rolls Royce.
This has been season full of a lot of firsts for the Cavaliers during their playoff run. They were the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit and LeBron James was the first player to lead in all statistical categories during the finals. Now Cleveland has made history for their amazing celebration.

In a heartwarming moment, Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown who was part of the Cleveland Browns championship team handed LeBron James the Larry O’brien trophy. It was truly a changing of the guard for the city of Cleveland.
Cleveland definitely showed out for their champions today, congrats Cleveland you earned this parade and hopefully you will never suffer another insanely long drought ever again.
That shouldn’t be an issue though as LeBron has already confirmed he isn’t going anywhere.

eBron James has finally ended his social media silence or as he calls it “Zero Dark 23” and all of his “haters” were the subject of discussion.
Fresh off his impressive NBA Finals performance, LeBron immediately hopped on his Instagram account and first posted a video with him and the Larry O’Brien trophy. In the video Bron express his love for the highly coveted prize in the NBA.
LeBron didn’t stop there though as it was time to call out all of the sports pundits and haters who said the King couldn’t get the job done. LeBron basically points out every single criticism that came his way this season and lets them know they were dead wrong about him. But most importantly LeBron just wants them to #PutsomeRespekOnHisName.
LeBron James finally delivered on his promise of bringing home a championship to the city of Cleveland. Both him and Kyrie Irving lead their squad to a historic NBA Finals victory over the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors becoming the first team ever to overcome a 3-1 series deficit.
When it was all said and done, a very emotional LeBron James finally succumbed to the weight of carrying his city on his shoulders and collapsed to floor shedding tears. The tears of course were expected just as much as they were justified because you can only imagine how it felt to accomplish something you set out do for so long.
But with every winner there must be a loser of course. The Golden State Warriors were without a doubt the the darlings of the NBA. They followed up their previous championship season with a historical one breaking the Chicago Bulls wins record with an astounding 73 win season. The question during the whole season was without a doubt who could stop the Golden State Warriors from repeating? That question was answered last night and this defining moment all but sealed the Warriors fate
Some folks will argue things all started to fall apart for the Warriors when Draymond Green got suspended OR the bad omen was the release Steph’s trash Under Armour sneakers.Some will even say things were not looking for the once supremely confident Warriors after their Game 6 loss causing Steph’s wife Ayesha to go into a Twitter tirade after Steph was ejected.
The jokes following game 6 were good but man nothing was going to prepare Ayesha, Steph and the Golden State Warriors for the slander that was coming their way. Here is a small sample of it:

pace Jam 2 rumors starring LeBron James as the new captain of the Toon Squad have been swirling like storms during the hurricane season. Well it looks like officially today we will be returning to back to Looney Tunes land for another epic basketball game between our favorite Looney Tunes characters and whomever their opponents will be this time.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Justin Lin (Fast and Furious) is in talks to direct Space Jam 2 with help from Andrew Dodge penning the script and Charles Ebersol producing. We are excited about the pick cause James has shown he can handle the big screen just as well as he handles the court. James got rave reviews for his performance in Amy Schumer’s hit comedy Trainwreck where he played himself.
James is currently locked in right now as his team is in pursuit of a NBA title and his “Zero Dark 23” initiative has kicked in where he shuts down all his social media accounts. So there hasn’t been no word from LBJ on the matter but it looks to be legit. LeBron James is the perfect guy for the role and we think he will do just fine in the film, we are looking forward to learning more about the film when more info is released.

In what is becoming a new thing (we welcome it) during the NBA Playoffs, star guard of the Boston Celtics‘ Isaiah Thomas was accompanied to the podium by his two young sons, James and Jaden. They just finished watching their dad put on a show in TD Garden leading his team to victory and tying up their playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks. Unlike Golden State Warriors all-star guard and more than likely this years MVP Steph Curry’s daughter who made her presence felt immediately during her dad’s post game press conference the two young boys saved their best for the end.
James introduced himself to the room of reporters by saying “Hi everybody” and then proclaimed his dad “Isaiah is the greatest basketball player”
Now Riley can never truly be outdone, she has imprinted herself into the hearts of millions of forever but it looks like we won’t be getting an encore press conference appearance cause her dad suffered an sprained MCL that will have him out for two weeks.
Multifaceted MoosieWins, has organically transitioned from songwriter to an emerging artist. Freshly off his new EP NBA (Nothing But Ambition), over the weekend MoosieWins released a dope visual for the track “No Issues.”
Inspired by some needed lesson’s of ambition, he began teaching his son Jalen the meaning of the word and all it represents early summer of this year.
When asked what else was it that motivated him to create this project, Moose says:
“After teaching him the meaning of ambition, the idea just came together in regards to the theme. I was always back and forth with him to games, practice, and basketball camp. So with working on my music as well, the idea just fused together perfectly.”
