That Boy Can SANG: T-Pain Sings National Anthem at Dodgers Stadium and We’re Blown Away!

T-Pain can’t sing? Well, the often auto-tuned singer/producer/rapper proves that to be very false as the talented artist delivers his very own rendition of the National Anthem at Dodgers Stadium, and it is good!

T-Pizzle shared his musical strengths in acapella at the Dodgers vs. Giants game — warming the crowd up, as this just may have been his redefining moment and truth to his vocal abilities, that has been put in such a negative sense over the years.

#ICYMI: T-Pain proved to the world that he didn’t need his much famous auto-tune to perform with what has now became NPR’s most watched “Tiny Desk” performance ever with over 7.8 million views.

Check out his vocal chops below as he salutes the United States of America:

T-Pain’s 5th RCA studio album Stoicville: the Phoenix will release in November 2015.

[Fly-LIGHTs] A$AP Rocky for GQ…

#WeLike

For those of you who don’t know, A$AP Rocky is a 23-year-old rapper from Harlem who, is becoming a staple in streetwear and high fashion, and definitely becoming a style influence in hip-hop right now.

Rocky’s talents have recently been summoned by the fashion gods over at GQ, here’s are some excerpts from his feature.

A$AP Rocky first grabbed attention for the peculiar regionlessness of his music: The Harlemite’s songs synthesize the slow flow of the South, the party vibes of the West Coast, and the bravado of New York into something gloriously hard to map. The kid’s got the same approach to getting dressed: He cherrypicks from skate brands and avantgarde designers without focusing on labels and logos. “If a chick wants to know who makes my shoes,” Rocky says, “she’s got to take them off my feet and look inside.” Here, we talk to Rocky about girls, weed, and “doing lunch.”

Son of the God

“My real name’s Rakim—my parents named me after the god MC himself.”

Carpe Diem

“With clothes, I like mixing what different designers do until it becomes a personal expression of how I’m feeling that day. This vest is by Skingraft. It only comes out for a GQ shoot or a hot date with an actress. That’s the bourgeois look. Booj-waaah.”

Culture Club

“In Harlem, I got all my black friends. But when I go downtown, I got black, white, Asian, Indian friends. There’s no borders, no barriers.”

Great Scott

“[Fashion designer] Jeremy Scott is my boy. We’ll do a shoot and then do lunch. Every time I see him, he has gifts for me. He knows I like weed, so he’ll bring edibles. I’ve also been wearing a lot of Rick Owens. It’s like hard-core jailhouse streetwear with a high-end gothic feel.”

Ladies First

“When I was a kid, I was a little horndog. First it was candy and girls. Then it was girls and bikes and scooters. Then it was girls, rap, and clothes. Now it’s girls, directing videos, my house, and fashion. And girls, girls, girls.”
