A& E is set to relaunch their popular “Biography” series and to get things started they are going with the late and still great iconic rapper The Notorious B.I.G. This past weekend A&E released a trailer featuring two living legends in hip-hop, Jay-Z and NAS spitting their favorite BIG lyrics.
“Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.” features exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage of Biggie giving us an unprecedented look at the life of the hip-hop legend. ‘Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.’ debuts September 4th on A&E. Make sure you set your DVR’s or home when cause this is a moment no hip-hop head would want to miss.
Uh oh! Is there possibly a new couple on the rise comprised of hip-hop royalty? Well the internet seems to think so thanks to a photo with Queens MC’s Nicki Minaj and NaS looking real cozy together hitting the web.
The two hip-hop superstars linked up at NaS’s newest Sweet Chick restaurant in Los Angeles,California. The internet quickly reacted to the photo and even already gave the rumored couple a name “Nasika”.
Some have even pointed out that the rumored couple are even sporting similar chains in photos together.
One of Nas‘ #1 and most controversial albums, Hip Hop Is Deadrecently turned 10 on December 19.
In order to celebrate the milestone, ESCO sat down with Mass Appeal in conjunction with Google Play Music to delve into some of the elements that sparked the controversy surrounding the album: the title, lead single, and Jay Z collaboration; as well as it’s place in hip-hop.
In the four-part video series the Queens legend reveals drawing inspiration from the title of De La Soul‘s sophomore effort De La Soul is Dead, talks about the creation of “Black Republican;” his first record with HOV following their nasty feud, discusses working on the namesake single with Will.i.Am, shares looking up to B.I.G. and Tupac plus so much more.

Earlier this month Grammy award-winning superstar Alicia Keys stopped traffic and thrilled fans with a surprise concert to celebrate the upcoming release of her latest album, HERE.
During the nearly two hour long show, the singer/songwriter performed some of her classic hits including “No One,” “Fallin’” and a special rendition of “If I Ain’t Got You” joined by Questlove and John Mayer. Keys debuted new tracks from the album along with her latest singles “In Common” and “Blended Family” while also paying tribute to legendary artists Bob Marley and John Lennon.
Rapper Nas took the stage with a special guest verse and Q-Tip got the crowd pumped with a throwback DJ set. The biggest surprise of the night featured Jay Z joining Keys to perform their iconic New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” that had fans shouting along in unison.

Head to toe coords come in 2 styles; The Jamal funnel neck zip through with stars and speedway checker pattern and The Gosho varsity popper front with speedway checker sleeves, accompanying joggers have ribbed waist and ankle cuffs.
Oversized King Sweaters come in black on charcoal and black on white with a lucky 8 appliqué. Having garnered a huge following for the brand’s illustrated cartoon mascots, ANZ have introduced a cartoon appliqué sweater featuring the crying King.
A nod to b-boy culture sees the first release of custom ANZ shoe laces in collection co-ordinating colours that will add an additional cool to the coolest of kicks.
The season’s campaign is fronted by entrepreneur and multifaceted artist Quincy Brown. Known for his strong personal style and infectious spirit Quincy perfectly embodies the playful, buoyant mood of the collection.
In the SS17 campaign Quincy is captured interacting with ANZ’s signature cartoon mascots. First introduced in 2015, the instantly recognizable cartoon crew, inspired by pop art, counter-culture, the designers love of comics and modern cultural stereotypes have rapidly grown and impressive following of their own. They will be popping up across garments and as an integral part of the brands ANZ for future seasons.
Progressive polychromatic jacquard techniques and unique raised textures result in truly tactile garments all produced in a historically celebrated family run factory in Leicester, England.

hat better way to get hip-hop heads excited for a new NaS album than with a Eif Rivera directed DJ Khaled visual. Khaled drops keys in his best patois, rides horses and breaks bread with the original don dada Louie “Ox” Rankin (Belly) while NaS drops his butter smooth lyrics in the vibrant visual for “Nas Album Done” off his latest album Major Key.

Bronx songwriter Haddy Racks put a fresh spin on viral music recently with his #Mixtagram Volume 1 visual mixtape, which dropped on his IG at instagram.com/HaddyRacks.
The original seven-video series follows Haddy Racks around NYC as he freestyles to beats from Nas, Tupac, Mary J Blige, Amerie and Cam’ron, as well as his applauded entry into Monica‘s “So Gone Challenge.”

French Montana has unveiled the tracklist for his upcoming album, MC4. Due out August 19, The Bronx rapper calls on A$AP Rocky, Drake, Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss, Jeezy, Kanye West, Kodak Black, Miguel, and Styles P for the assist on the 14-track project. Nas and Erykah Badu have linked up for a brooding new record titled “This Bitter Land.” Off of the soundtrack for the upcoming theatrical release of The Land which the duo not only contribute music for, but Nas is an executive producer and Badu stars in the film.
Delivering a standout performance clearly channeling her inner Nina Simone, Badu’s voice staggers and sweeps over the beautiful stringed instruments. Enter Nas with an acerbic verse, offering a deep reflection of his youth and the struggles one encounters when striving for success.
The Land and the accompanying soundtrack will be in theaters and available on July 29. The film tells the story of a group of teenage skateboarders in Cleveland with a dreams of going pro. The four friends however find themselves caught up in a dangerous drug deal that could jeopardize all of their futures. Machine Gun Kelly, Moises Arias, and The Wire‘s Michael K. Williams also star. The film’s soundtrack features other hip-hop legends including Pusha T, Kanye West, French Montana, and more. The soundtrack is currently available for pre-order.
