SFPL’s Artist Spotlight: Dom B & J Blaze – “Woozy” [New Video]

Check out new music and a video off the upcoming release The DownBeat Project. The two-part EP executively produced, written and creatively directed by Lu Brown features all new music performed by his super friends who just so happen to be the movers and shakers of the dance industry. A jack of all creative trades and a leader in the dance industry, Brown brings his creative energy and innovative vision to the music and videos that accompany the records. Being a master of bringing the best out of artists on his resume (Mario, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Puff Daddy and Nicki Minaj) just to name a few, Lu showcases his writing and vocal arranging gifts on an amazing set of artists that get to show the world another side of their creative genius.

The music on ‘The DownBeat Project’ feature Sharaya J, Tony Tzar, Dom B, Binkie, J Blaze, LexLu, Harlee, Lyons, Bobbie Riley, Diddi and much more as well as a surprise reunion track by Electrik Red. The vibe is new, fresh and will definitely have you dancing. The main producer on the project is YoungPete Alexander, a drummer, and producer from Atlanta (CEO of theOFFICALS Music Group).

The first single, “Woozy” which features Dom B and J Blaze from Vol. 1 has just been released along with the music video directed by Lu himself. This is just the beginning with more hits and visuals set to follow that are sure to turn heads and get people talking.

New Video: Francis And The Lights feat. Chance The Rapper – “May I Have This Dance (Remix)”

Francis And The Lights pairs up with the buzzing Chance The Rapper for an official remix video for “May I Have This Dance.” The visual was directed by Jake Schreiber and finds Chance and Francis delivering smooth moves like Jagger.

The song itself is originally a single off Francis and the Lights’ album Francis, Starlite!, which dropped last year.

Starring In The Movie ‘Sleight’ This Friday, Jacob Latimore Debuts “Love Drug” Video

As the 20-year-old Jacob Latimore awaits the debut of SLEIGHT hitting movie theaters nationwide this Friday (4/28), where he plays the starring role of “Bo,” he debuts the music visual to “Love Drug”. A fan favorite from his album Connection, the official song is about the intoxicating nature that new love exudes and in this case, Jacob is the supplier. The visual shot by Director Alfy shows not only Latimore’s silky vocals but his dancing prowess.

Off the heels of his impressive single “Some Way,” NAV premieres the new visual to support the trending song as The Weeknd joins him along for the ride during a fully functional photo shoot paired with a few beautiful models.

Maroon 5 debuts their highly anticipated new music video for “Cold” featuring Future on Vevo.

The epic visual starring Adam Levine, his wife Behati Prinsloo and Future, takes viewers on a crazy trip. What started out as a quick run for milk by Levine turns into a bazaar all-night affair.

While in bed with his wife, Levine says:

“It was weird. Somebody slipped something into my drink. I think it was acid because I started tripping balls. Future turned into a teddy bear and James was getting blown by a chicken. It was crazy.”

Jidenna – “The Let Out” feat. Nana Kwabena [New Visual]

As promised, Wondaland Records/Epic Records artist Jidenna premieres his new visual for the new single “The Let Out” featuring Nana Kwabena.

In the video, the artist gives us a glimpse of his typical night from dinner with his family, a night out with his friends to the club, and hitting the parking lot for “the official let out.”

SFPL’s Artist Spotlight: Laurieann Gibson’s New Artist Vali Debuts New Visual “Friend Of Mine”

Vali is a New York native, Los Angeles-based pop songstress signed to Rostrum Records. The up and coming talent caught the eye of creative director Laurieann Gibson (Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj,) and Gibson signed on to become Vali’s manager.

The hit single “Dimes” featuring Wiz Khalifa reached over one million streams. Vali has been featured on numerous media platforms gaining much traction.

Her EP is slated to be released in early spring.

Chance The Rapper – “Same Drugs” [New Visual]

Chance The Rapper brings his Coloring Book project to life and delivers his new visual to the nostalgic song “Same Drugs.” The song features vocals from Eryn Allen Kane, Yebba Smith, John Legend, Francis Starlite and Macie Stewart.

From a vintage frame, the video shows the young Chance sitting at the piano as he plays and sings from the soul paired with a Muppet-like songstress, along with a staff of muppets running a live show recording.

Chance spoke on why he wanted to premiere the Jake Schreier directed video on Facebook:

“I say, yo, I wanna put a video that I already recorded on Instagram Live, I wanna put it on Twitter Live, I wanna put it on Snapchat, and they said no,” Chance said. “But would you look at that? That’s Facebook Live holding me down with a countdown to an HD premiere of my shit.”

Chance recently released a clothing line honoring the first Black President, Barack Obama called #ThankYouObama.

Our favorite Fly Girl, actress-singer-songwriter Demetria McKinney premieres her new visual for her new single “Easy.” The official song was co-written by Demetria, Courtlin Jabrae and Devin Horton. The RTD Entertainment directed video gives off smooth vibes which are quite fitting for the mid-tempo track.

Demetria says: “I wanted a video that gave off a cool, sexy, artsy vibe that showcased me as an artist.”

The sultry track is available now on iTunes.
