Adele is the latest star to join James Corden on his Carpool Karaoke segment. While visiting his native London over the holidays Corden met up with the songstress for a drive around the city. They of course covered Adele’s hits including her most recent hit “Hello” as well as oldies “Someone Like You,” and “Rolling In The Deep.” The duo also covered The Spice Girls “Wannabe” and Adele slayed Ms. Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye West’s “Monster.”
The social-sphere went crazy and Minaj herself chimed in on Adele’s cover of her monster verse. Ms. Minaj called Adele’s rendition “IcoNic” and complimented the English singer on her attitude and finger wagging.
Minaj also sent out a tweet giving Adele props.
Posh Spice also weighed in on Adele’s karaoke skills on Twitter calling it “genius.”
You can check out the complete video of Adele’s car ride with James Corden below. She also discusses getting drunk off wine on Christmas and a few other interesting tidbits.
Of course Adele can’t do anything these days without breaking a record, her carpool video has now become the most viral late-night video since 2013. The lifetime viral record is currently held by Justin Bieber’s own carpool clip, but come on it’s only a matter of time until Adele nabs this title as well.
Ahem #MeekSeason is Here!
You Ready?
Our favorite screaming rapper (for real for real) Meek Mill just hit us with the official video for his street anthem “Monster”!
Directed by Spike Jordan, Monster is a mixture of cult Movie classics, “Paid In Full” & “ATL”.
That’s a gooooood combo tho!
Meek & Co get their 80’s on in FULL FRESH gear including minks, Cazals and Kangols.
Pull out ya skates and take a ride with MM tho!
Absent from the video (well to US ANYWAY!) was Meek’s boo Nicki Minaj. But we excuse her, she was kinda busy and stuff…
