Japan based brand Edifice have teamed up with Mackintosh and Lavenham to create their new quilted jacket Weatherwear collection.

FLY.

Quilted jackets are once again popular, However it’s new sleek makeover sets it miles apart from the dreaded “Hustle Coat”

Ungh!

Edifice have made a series of quilted jackets in nylon and tweed and, unfortunately, it’s exclusive to Japan. We are waiting for it’s presence online…

In keeping with the times H&M is targeting the mature crowd.

Makes sense, the younger crowd makes it a little unbearable to step inside the store-Let alone purchase anything and be forced to be a twin every time you step outside.

SWITCH!

H&M always keeps things lively with new promotional images. In their latest attempt to dress up the e-commerce portion of their website for the upcoming season, they have released a campaign featuring Andres Velencoso Segura and Ryan Thomas. The duo represent a more mature audience for H&M, but one that nevertheless still appreciates trends.

The Canadian brand showcases some great shirts, jackets and accessories. Including some cotton/cashmere mixes. Particularly the thermal henley’s  and quilted jackets seal the deal for me.

Expect the collection to be available from the end of the month at Roden Gray and other premium retailers.

MONDAY IN FASHION: UNIQLO X OPENING CEREMONY

Opening Ceremony is the newest guest designer to collaborate with Japanese brand, Uniqlo.

It’s still very Uniqlo, very simple and basic. A dope combination of plaids done in pastel colors perfect for Spring.

The collection debuted this weekend.

Me and my boy went to check it out and it was dope. However, please beware the sizes run extremely european. A regular Medium is equivalent to their large, and they max out at a large 😦 Which means that super dope Plaid shirt I had my heart set on in the Fly pastel Spring Colors was to Small for me. 

*hmph*

It felt good that my muscles prohibited me from even buttoning the shirt (that’s that work out baby!)-Angered me that there was no XL.

ARRRGGGHHH!

I felt like Mo’Nigue Little Skinny dudes are Evil LMAO!

After stints at big labels, Dao-Yi Chow and Max Osbourne figured it was time to take control of things on their own which led to the creation of Public School. In what they have deemed their best and most comprehensive collection to date, we can certainly confirm these statements as the brand offers a wide range of offerings. From shirts to outerwear, one of the most noticeable influences on their garments is a great attention to detail as well as modern interpretations on classics.

MONDAYs IN FASHION (preview)…

 Last Night the Fly Guys were invited to view the new collection by Miguel Antoinne.

We must say, we were blown away.

Miguel’s Fall 09 collection was inspired by the 1920’s Prohibition/Gangster-era. With remarkable attention to  Tailoring-Miguel’s pairing of sharp coats adorned with oversized pockets and tuxedo-striped ribbed leggings= Fly Attire.
