Fly Visual: Things Get Trippy In Miguel’s “waves” Remix ft. Travi$ Scott


Miguel released the remix to his song “waves” featuring Travi$ Scott just a few weeks ago. Today the R&B crooner brings us the dark and grainy visual.

Shot during Miguel’s Wildheart Motel installation, we find the singer on the motel’s rooftop serenading a slew of fans below. The installation was hosted for two days back in January and gave fans an in-depth look into the making of his album.

Fly News: Taylor Swift To Open Grammys, Alabama Shakes and Miguel To Perform

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards take place Monday February 15th and The Recording Academy has just added Taylor Swift, The Alabama Shakes, and Miguel to their list of performers.

Swift will be opening up the show performing a song off her album of the year nominated album 1989. The Alabama Shakes are also up for album of the year for their sophomore effort Sound & Color while Miguel earned two nominations, for best r&b song and best urban contemporary album.

There will also be performances from Adele; Travis Barker; James Bay; Justin Bieber; Jackson Browne; Luke Bryan; Gary Clark Jr.; Andra Day; Diplo; Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmit, and Joe Walsh of the Eagles; Ellie Goulding; the Broadway cast of Hamilton; The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry); Sam Hunt; Tori Kelly; Lady Gaga; Kendrick Lamar; John Legend; Little Big Town; Demi Lovato; Pitbull; BonnieRaitt; Rihanna; Skrillex; Chris Stapleton; Robin Thicke; Meghan Trainor; Carrie Underwood; and The Weeknd as previously announced.

The Grammy’s air on CBS Monday February 15th at 8/7 c.

Ro James is ending 2015 with a bang, releasing his first official single, “Permission” from his forthcoming debut album. The track was produced by Soundz (Justin Bieber, Trey Songz, Rae Sremmurd) and co-written by Ro & Verse Simmonds (Kanye West, Rihanna, Chris Brown, K. Michelle). “Permission” captures the soulful grit of Ro’s voice, while still captivating listeners with its effortless sex appeal to create a sound that is simply enchanting.

Now today, Ro unveils the official video for the soulful track, as the black & white visual encompasses the youthful, mischievous and care-free bond between Ro and his bae. The video, which premiered on REVOLT today was directed by Aaron Vazquez of BKLYN1834, who has previously collaborated with Ro on visuals for “Lisa” featuring Asher Roth and “Get Out My Way”.


Friends of the SFPL family, the rising musician who has worked with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Miguel to Brenmar has been unleashing his unique brand of music since late 2013, when he released his three-part EP series Coke, Jack & Cadillacs.

“Permission” is the first single from Ro James’ forthcoming debut album, which will be in released in 2016 via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records.

SFPL Music: Miguel – “U R On My Mind”


Miguel digs in his music archives and premieres a vintage track in honor of his 30th birthday. Going back to the year of 2007, when Migs was only 14-years old, he gives us a glimpse of a track called “U R On My Mind,” which he recorded in the fall of 1999 with Blu and Anthony Williams. The above pic attached to the song symbolizes the good times of Halloween 2007 as Miguel and friends sport their cowboy costumes.

Miguel hits the club with this new aquatic feel of the hit song waves. Taking a few shots and dancing the night away, the crooner hits the stage serving up a live version of the new tune, while keeping the crowd entertained, and hitting the water with a few female friends. Wale and J. Cole also appear in the video while enjoying the festivities.

New Music: Miguel “Simple Things” ft. Chris Brown & Future (re-lit Remix)


When a Remix turns into Re-Lit….Miguel takes his cut “Simple Things” and adds a little Breezy and Future Hendrix into the mix. The sultry-guitar cut features a fews vocal bars from Chris Brown himself, along with Future adding his signature rap sound — making it one of the best collabs this year.

The song was re-lit by Brook Dleau & Miguel.

Disclosure Announces Album Tracklisting ‘Caracal’ featuring Miguel, Lion Babe, Lorde, Sam Smith, The Weeknd & more

Dance/Electronic music duo Disclosure has released their official album tracklisting of Caracal. The project will feature your favorites artist like; Lion Babe, Miguel, Lorde, Sam Smith, The Weeknd and so many more.

The news was recently posted on their instagram:

Disclosure first made their big mainstream move into the ears of the U.S. — collaborating with London singer Sam Smith on the smash 2012 hit “Latch,” and has now connected with Smith again for the first single off of ‘Caracal’ on a song called “Omen.” The official visual for the new track is out now and is at 1.3 million views and counting, with the song itself climbing the Billboard charts.

‘Caracal’ will be available on Sept. 25th.

As apart of his visual compilation Wildheart Chapter 1: Find What You Love and Let It Kill You, singer-songwriter Miguel brings two visuals separately out the gate; “NWA” featuring Kurupt and “…goingtohell.”

Just in time for the upcoming film STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, Migs walks the local streets of California, donned in all-black with a leather biker jacket, of course, as he sings the words to his own tune. In the process of walking, Miguel jumps in a car with Kurupt.
