New Video: French Montana – “Hold Up” Feat. Migos & Chris Brown

[ione_embed src=https://www.youtube.com/embed/PC8nERf9OSw service=youtube width=1680 height=1050 type=iframe]

French Montana releases his new visual with Migos and Chris Brown in tow for the latest song “Hold Up.”

Directed by Keemotion, Montana and the fellas turn up from the tour bus to backstage as they chant the words to the catchy single.

After shelving MC4, French is currently in the studio working on a new album.

Just as of yesterday, Chris is back in the headlines regarding a restraining order that his ex Karrueche placed against him, canceling his fight with Soulja Boy, and announcing his The Party Tour dates.

Migos might have more trouble of their own as well. Allegedly the trio and their crew jumped artist Sean Kingston at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.

According to TMZ:

Sean Kingston was cuffed by Vegas cops shortly after he was allegedly beaten up bad by Migos. Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff got into an argument with Sean over Soulja Boy.

As we reported, Sean got into verbal altercation with Migos at the Sands Expo and Convention Center Tuesday afternoon and the group allegedly pummeled him to the ground. We’re told someone in Sean’s camp fired a shot in the air but no one was hit.

According to NY Daily News, a Las Vegas Police Department spokesman said that the alleged shooter and one other person were taken into custody after the fisticuff. Their charges weren’t immediately available.

Sean bolted from the scene, as did Migos. The video (above) shows cops questioning Sean and a passenger after cops stopped his car. We’re told he was questioned but not arrested.

Earlier in the day, it was all kumbaya between Sean and Migos at the Venetian.

More details to follow as it comes in.

Watch: Migos Freestyle On Sway In The Morning and Gets A Surprise Appearance From Laurence Fishburne

[ione_embed src=https://www.youtube.com/embed/UGF5XUI39Og service=youtube width=854 height=480 type=iframe]

Migos stops by Sway In The Morning on the brink of their new album release Culture. The trio speaks with Sway Calloway as the industry vet gave them props for leading the new rap culture, and sticking together for so many years.

Since their mentioned by Atlanta‘s Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino at the 2017 Golden Globes during his win, Migos’ “Bad And Boujee” charted at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 spot with a 240% spike in sales, literally within 24-48 hours.

During the interview, Quavo, Takeoff and Offset capped off a freestyle with only later being surprised by legendary actor Laurence Fishburne.

Check it out above.

To add, a petition has been raised for Migos to replace Lady Gaga at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime show.

In addition to the replacement, the request also states that the Preshow should include Rae Sremmurd, Gucci, Goodie Mob, Ludacris and Young Jeezy, Young Thug needs to sing “Guwop Home”, the official anthem of Atlanta, Andre 3000 should sing the national anthem with Erykah Badu. By sing, they mean hit Donald Trump with a FIRE 64 bars. Lastly, the halftime should be Migos killing “Bad and Boujee,” Future with “March Madness”, then Outkast comes out and does an AQUEMINI sampler and then they end it with Bun B and Jay Z doing “Big Pimpin.”

Thoughts?

Mountain Dew & VFILES Camo Fashion Collab at ComplexCon with Migos and more

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

This weekend at the first-ever ComplexCon, Mountain Dew and VFILES welcomed guests to experience The Camo Collective – an immersive, collaborative art, fashion and tech experience channeling all things camouflage and promising to challenge conventions of the popular print.  In addition to debuting an original, interactive augmented reality experience and curated gallery installation, the brand’s new camouflage-meets-wearable-tech collection, Camo Out, created in partnership with youth-culture powerhouse VFILES, was available for sale for the first time to consumers.

Both DEW and camouflage hold unique positions at the cross-section between the new American Heartland and urban street-wear culture: symbolic of freedom and exploration in both rural and urban environments, it exemplifies the lifestyle of having a “damn good time” and self-expression that DEW embodies.

The art and artifacts in The Camo Collective were curated by Jules Gayton, a senior designer at Herschel Supply Company who has also worked on brands like Stussy, Supreme. Jules invited various artists that are inspiring culture today, including Stash, a legendary graffiti artist and designer, and emerging artists Damien Gilley and Michael Walczyck, to demonstrate the evolution of camouflage through art from its original function for concealment to a tool used by creatives to express their individualized style. Record producer and DJ Nosaj Thing used music to tell the story of camo through custom mixes he produced specifically for The Camo Collective experience.

The exhibit also featured ‘the future of camo section that included a cloaking device and a first-of-its-kind interactive augmented reality ‘CamoFlector’ that used mirrors equipped with hologram-augmented reality technology – guests were virtually outfitted by the custom Camo Out patterns and immersed into a virtual music video of the future.

Following the CamoFlector, guests were led into Mountain Dew/VFILES pop-up shop featuring their original camouflage-meets-wearable-tech collection, Camo Out – equipped with Solar Panel Backpacks, Earbud Tracksuits, Snap-Cam Tech Caps and a Bluetooth-enabled Parkas.

Hip-hop group Migos stopped by The Camo Collective exhibit to check out pieces of Camo Out before their headlining performance.
