#AllStarWeekend: New Orleans Hip Hop Take Over Bud Light Crew HQ

Throughout the weekend, the guests danced to some hit record spins by DJ’s Zaytoven, Sonny Digital and even Basketball Wives LA star, DJ Duffey. The stage was later set ablaze by electrifying performances by New Orleans’s finest musical acts – Jay Electronica, Mannie Fresh, Birdman, and 2Chainz. Grammy-award winning superstar Toni Braxton even stopped by to see Birdman take the stage, along with Hannibal Buress who came by.

The space was full of activities for friendly competition, including a pop-a-shot gallery and an NBA Jams arcade tournament. Hit rappers A$AP Ferg, Stalley, Master P and fellow friends/Wu-Tang Clan members Raekwon and Ghostface Killah event battled it out in wings contest called “Hot Ones.” Also, former Houston Rockets player, Kenny Smith also stopped by with his daughter/recording artist Kayla Brianna.

#GrammyWeekend: Celebrities Attend Essence’s Black Women In Music Gala Presented by Lincoln Motor Company

The Lincoln Motor Company returned this year as an exclusive automotive sponsor for ESSENCE’s eighth annual Black Women in Music event held last night in Los Angeles. 2017 marks the eighth consecutive year Lincoln has been an elite patron for the event.

This year’s event celebrated nominees from the biggest night in music, along with singer/songwriter Erykah Badu on the 20th anniversary of her groundbreaking debut album Baduizm.

Award-winning singer/songwriter Estelle joined Lincoln on stage as part of the festivities to premiere her feature in Lincoln’s ongoing First Listen series. The latest feature, available for viewing on Lincoln Now, previews Estelle’s latest track, “Be in Luv,” from behind the wheel of the all-new Lincoln Continental.

Nigerian singer-songwriter, actress, and Roc Nation‘s very own Tiwa Savage also performed live as an opening act just before Erykah hit the stage.

“This is a big week for Lincoln as it relates to music,” said Raj Register, multicultural communications manager, Lincoln. “From celebrating women at events like Black Women in Music, to debuting Estelle’s First Listen piece, to premiering Gary Clark Jr.’s new Continental commercial, it’s clear music drives us.”

Barbee – “Whoa” [New Video]

The Caribbean starlet known as Barbee has been a staple on the dancehall scene internationally, collaborating with the likes of Beenie Man, Junior Kelly and even Trina.

Now, she is primed and ready to bring her talents to the states. Having partnered up with Hip Hop mogul Master P, the sky is the limit for the 6 foot tall singer/model.

Her new single “Whoa,” is a reggae infused pop record produced by platinum production duo Rock City. The track lifts its sample from the seminal reggae tune “Bam Bam” by Sister Nancy, which was immortalized the 1998 Hype Williams film Belly. For the video, Barbee takes things a step further, recreating classic scenes from the film including the now classic Black Light Scene.

[Fly-Lights] Celebs attend the BET Awards X-Rated Fusion Liqueur Gifting Suite

 

On Friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th, BET hosted a 2-day Celebrity Gifting Suite backstage at the Shrine Auditorium for celebrity attendees of the BET Awards sponsored by X-Rated Fusion Liqueur.

Notables on deck included;  Kevin Hart, Lala Vasquez (who was celebrating her birthday on Saturday) , Laz Alonso, Idris Elba, Hosea Sanchez, Patti LaBelle, Swizz Beatz, Anita Baker, DJ Khaled, music video director and nominee Benny Boom, Master P, Warren G, Mario, Lloyd, and Jadakiss just to name a few.

X-Rated Fusion Liqueur created custom cocktails such as “Pink Friday”, “The Lady Killer”, “Pretty Girl Rock” and “Hart to Hart”

New Video: Master P’s Daughter Cymphonique “Soldier Girl”

Looks like Willow has a sparked some attention from a few celeb kiddies…

Remember some time ago we featured Master P’s daughter CYMPHONIQUE‘s  “Little Miss Swaggar” here on SFPL about a year ago? Well, now she has resurfaced with a new viral video titled “Soldier Girl”. I am not sure why it took so long for another video to present itself, but I guess the sudden appearance of Willow and the music leak spark another video from the talented 14 year old.

From the plethora of videos on YouTube, Cymphonique has been performing with a group called The Fabulous Girls. The group has a pretty large fan base and has been performing around the world via Radio Disney. Cymphonique’s hit single “Butterflies” topped the Disney charts naming her the Next Big Thing via Radio Disney.

Hopefully, Cymphonique is getting her music priorities in tact and has a heavy team behind her that knows exactly what they are doing. The time is now to make a move and to make her mark in the industry.

Cassie was spotted on the set of Chris Brown’s new video as the leading lady. I say Yes, if you don’t have Rihanna anymore get another beautiful, fashionable–> “songstress”.

I do need Cassie to lead her own Video, like, sometime soon.

And in the same weekend Kelly was spotted on the set of 50’s new Video as his leading Lady.

TLC Reunited over the weekend for the Justin Timberlake’s and Friends Concert. I’d really like their performances to be limited to Special Events as such. The death of a member makes it painful to watch, it’s a huge difference then just replacing a living group member, no?
