In New York, on Saturday, January 27th Michael “Blue” Williams and Family Tree Entertainment hosted the 7th Annual Pre-GRAMMY® Awards Managers’ Brunch honoring hip-hop game changer and manager of Cardi B, Shaft (KSR Group). Mona Scott-Young, Killer Mike, MAJOR, Mali Music and Rodney Jerkins were among those in attendance at the star-studded event.
GRAMMY Award nominated artist Mali Music announces today the release of his highly-anticipated new album The Transition of Mali on June 2nd via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records. The 13-track album shows the evolution of Mali Music as an artist, as he explores different sounds while also maintaining his soulful R&B core. The album’s pre-order will be available on May 12th.
“Gonna Be Alright,” the first track released off of the album, has garnered significant buzz, including coverage from Billboard who stated, “…the R&B savant eloquently captures the various emotions tied to everyday matters of life and love.” The singer is set to perform in Oakland, CA at the New Parish on Thursday, May 11th and Los Angeles on Friday, May 12th at The Mint. Since then, Mali Music, who is signed to Mark Pitts’ ByStorm Entertainment imprint, has toured the country, performed on the BET Experience Music Matters Stage and at the Essence Music festival as well as on TV on Late Night with Seth Meyers and American Idol. Last Night at the gastropub Hill and Dale located in the lower east side RCA records and ByStorm Entertainment held an exclusive press meet and greet for their artist Treasure Davis.Bloggers, taste makers and music execs sipped on Hill and Dale original drink mixes and enjoyed great food as they listened to Treasures new single “Someone New” featuring Slick Rick. We also got a glimpse of the video for “Someone New” which will be premiering soon and we definitely have it up once it does. The bubbly Treasure Davis made her way around the room greeting everyone in attendance and graciously taking time for photos. Others in attendance Blogxilla (Global Grind), Gary Gentles (Singers Room) and Treasure’s label mate Mali Music.
