Last Night In NYC: DJ Khaled Held An Exclusive Listening Session for ‘I Changed Alot’

Last Night In NYC….The We The Best honcho DJ Khaled took over Premier Studios right in the heart of NYC for his exclusive listening session of the upcoming October 23rd release of I Changed A Lot.

The room was filled with major press, media and industry affiliates as the heat-maker played a few tunes from the new project. Music genius Wyclef Jean eventually walked through the door, as he surprised everyone in attendance with his presence. No one had no idea that he would be there — as the room stood still. It was almost like God walked-in.

First Lady of the We The Best Records and Khaled’s female protege, Miami native Steph Lecor was also in the building in support of her boss. Her newest single “Saturday” is gaining quite the radio presence as we speak.

DJ Khaled was very focused as he presented some pretty heavy hits. To be quite honest, he never disappoints when it comes to consistent #1 songs. The album will feature the likes of: Chris Brown, Fetty Wap, August Alsina, Future, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, John Legend, French Montana and more. Stand out tracks: “Gold Slugs”, “I Ride”, “Most High”, “I Don’t Play About My Paper”, “Everytime We Come Around”, “I Lied” and the list goes on.

Congrats Khaled!

Last NIGHT in NYC: Mary Mary’s “Something Big” Album Listening Session

Last Night we were invited to the Listening Session for Gospel Music’s Mary Mary. I must admit I was probably more excited than I would be for a secular artist. When it comes to artist who are spirit filled you know your gonna leave with something more than just music.

And I did.

When I walked up to The Canal Room, I must admit I was surprised to see the line wrapped around the corner. I mean why not? These ladies have been producing good music for eleven years, I should have expected it. When I entered the venue the anticipation in the air was thick. It wasn’t stuffy and pretentious like most listening sessions can be. The doors opened at 7pm and the ladies were up by 8pm. And boy did they show up!

They Started off with Shackles and dove right into the God in Me, followed by Yesterday. It was perfect.

They went into a baby sermon about not giving up, and went into a much needed dialogue dedicating the next single to those who felt like they were being overlooked, letting them know they would shine soon enough. Perfect Timing.

They dived into a plethora of new material including their current single Walking that drove the crowd into a worship frenzy. It was dope. Something Big is definitely an Album that needs to be purchased by all and appreciated by many.

Take it from us.

Go Cop it.
