Singer Lauriana Mae & Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon Shoots “Protect Ya Neck” Remix Video [Photos]

SFPL has received some exclusive pics of rapper Raekwon was on set yesterday shooting a music video with Atlantic Records’ artist Lauriana Mae for the remix of her song “Protect Ya Neck” — birthed from her new EP City Of Diamonds.

The track was produced by Grammy Award Winning producer Jack Splash and samples Wu-Tang Clan’s 90’s hit. Raekwon and Lauriana Mae was seen shooting their visual in Lauriana’s Hometown via New Jersey.

The video also showcased Lauriana’s popular band The Pains. The video was styled by Kendrell Bowman (K.Michelle, Kanye West, Dawn Richard).

Lauriana’s style shows her in a 90’s Aaliyah Inspired look with a army green flight suit, a cropped top, and multiple gold necklaces to compliment Raekwon’s black and gold ensemble.

Video was directed by Arturo Lewin (Alliance Media) and will be dropping in a few weeks.

Atlantic Records’ Lauriana Mae Kicks Off The #MonthofMAE By Releasing Her First Webisode and New Song “Suicide Bomb”

Since the release of her debut EP, “LOVE MAE”, Lauriana Mae has been busy headlining at infamous venues, like New York City’s SOB’s, spotted working with industry moguls, like Kwamé, Claude Kelly, and Q-Tip, and preparing for the release of her album, set to drop later this year. Most recently, you’ll find Lauriana featured on “Chandelier,” a standout track from B.O.B‘s album, “Strange Clouds,” which was released Tuesday, May 1st.  

During the #MonthofMAE, Lauriana will release new music, official footage and personal interviews from previous performances, as she introduces her band, The Pains and depicts her life over the past few months in preparation to the present. All content will be will be available on Lauriana Mae’s official Tumblr page.

FLY Performances Last Night in NYC

[Last Night In NYC] Lauriana Mae Headlines at SOB’s along with Ronnie “Ro” James & Lance Drummonds

Last night was filled with tremendous talent through the speakers, which paralleled into the air to give us a quintessence of great musical talent.

First up, we have the raw and soulful sounds of Ronnie “Ro” James, who raved the crowd with his very own cover of Radiohead‘s “Creep” and finished his set with an original joint titled “Be Better”. Ronnie is definitely the future of music! Please play close attention to his every move.

Next up, we have pianist, songwriter and crooner, Lance Drummonds who gave such an excellent performance that the crowd could not stop talking about after his set. Lance performed a few of his original tunes mixed with dope classic covers. If you didn’t know how to play the piano before, you would run to the nearest piano teacher to get lessons after seeing his performance. Lance has a way of fortifying lyrical content in correlation with key transitions that would absolutely blow you away. He is amazing!

Last but not least, we have the incomparable Lauriana Mae! This fearless vintage glammed-kitten ripped the stage an half with her effortless performance. Coming from the reality series of Diddy’s Starmaker, Lauriana is still #Winning in her very own lane. Not to mention, she is setting trends with the help of her dope stylist, Kendrell Bowman. Lauriana is on my list for the Takeover of #2012! You heard it here first!
