The South Bronx’s own Axel Leon has been making major waves in the current rap renaissance happening in his home city. After mesmerizing viewers by his sharp wordplay on Hot 97 with Funk Flex, DJ Enuff’s The Hot Box and Sway In The Morning, listeners were waiting to see what the rhyme-spitter had next.

At the top of 2017, Axel made his mark with the release of “Bang Bang 2K17,” a redux version of Capone-N-Noreaga’s classic which featured fellow NYC native Tru Life. With that, he also announced that he had been working on Rich Port 2, the sequel to the gritty 2015 mixtape he had previously released.

Today, Axel unveils ‘RP2’ in its final form. Boasting features from the likes of Jim Jones and Tego Calderon, the 10-track project draws heavy inspiration from the cult-classic film Paid In Full, even interpolating some of it’s most powerful scenes.

Take a listen to the mixtape above.

WATCH: Jim Jones Gets Emotional When Breaking Down The Rise and Fall of Dipset

Jim Jones has been the talk of the hip-hop world as of late. He recently ended his 13-year-old beef with Jay Z when he signed with Roc Nation. Last night Jimmy stopped by Funk Flex’s show to talk about his recent moves but in the process we got a very in-depth interview from Dipset’s capo.

We all know Jim Jones to be one of the toughest individuals in the hip-hop world, but during the interview we got a chance to see a side of Jim Jones we have never seen before. During the interview we learned that the current state of Dipset and his damaged relationship with Cam’Ron really hurt him. Jim Jones breaks down the details of how the iconic rap stable came to be, his role in forming the group and the blood, sweat and tears he put into Dipset.

Jim also spoke about Max B, French Montana and of course Jay Z in the very interesting interview. Do yourself a favor and watch it in its entirety. We just hope that one day Jim and Cam’Ron can work things out bring Dipset back cause hip-hop truly needs it.

Sources close the Jim told TMZ that he signed with Jay Z and his “lieutenants”, OG and Ty Ty, and they will be managing all facets Jimmy’s brand that includes music, fashion, acting and more. TMZ caught up with the “We Fly High” rapper today and he broke down how the historic deal came to be.

Jim revealed that he has matured and is more of businessman and he operate off his emotions like he used to when he was younger. He also revealed that he didn’t have a conversation with Jay Z himself yet and that deal was kinda done “like the mob” but it was sanctioned by Jay. It’s clear Jim realized beefs don’t make you money and we can’t be mad at that. Jim even hinted at possible collaborations in the studio. giphy

We are very curious as to how his former friend and Dipset partner Cam’Ron feels about this move? It’s no secret Cam’Ron and Jim’s relationship has been strained and Cam’Ron isn’t no friend of Jay Z.

Well we still gotta congratulate Jim on making a major move for his career, we can’t wait to see what may come from this new venture.

Jim Jones recently went on ESPN‘s Highly Questionable. He was asked about his famous altercations: Rucker Park and Diddy‘s Team, the incident with Louis Farrakhan, and French Montana.

DISCLAIMER: While Jim Jones stands by his words, it was not in distaste as the interview was taped two weeks ago BEFORE the tragic death of Chinx. ESPN clearly wanted to monopolize the moment.
