Jhene Aiko Gets Sexual In An Eye-Catching Visual For “Maniac”

Bound and gagged, Jhene Aiko lets us know that she is honestly, truly a “Maniac.”

Prepping for her sophomore release, Aiko debuts her new visual for her official single and displays quite a raunchy side that we noticeably experienced while on the musical journey of she and Big Sean‘s Twenty88.

The video was directed by Directed by Aiko and Topshelf Junior. The singer tells Rolling Stone:

“There are so many layers to my personality. One of them is very sexual and ‘Maniac’ is me sharing that side of myself.”

About the “Maniac” visual she says:

“When I started putting together the concept for the ‘Maniac’ visual, I wanted to explore what it meant to be manic.”

She researched old asylums, watched movies on the topic and learned the “bizarre techniques that were used back in the day to treat mental patients.”

Jhene’s upcoming album follows her 2014 solo debut Souled Out.

In the 16 minute film Sean and Jhene are adult stars in the future whose relationship seems to be “malfunctioning”.

In natural music fashion, the soulful gem digs into the truth about a no-good man that can’t even take care of himself but outsources other women to pick up his slack. “You messing with all your B*tches & H*es” but they don’t even know,” Jhene expresses through song.
