Jay IDK has been making music waves since the success of his well-received hit single “The Plug.” Today, the talented rapper reveals his Subtrap LP artwork, release date and drops a sizzle visual teaser for his fans.
The Subtrap King is set to provide his full Long Play on August 25th, which he is looking to bridge the gap between both the conscious and cool. #SubTrap, short for “Suburban Trap” is paradox for trap music with substance. Loosely based on the life of the London born emcee, the forthcoming album gives an unbiased account of life on both sides of the drug game.
Mixed by Delbert Bowers (Yeezus, Long.Live.A$AP, The Marshall Mathers LP2), the projects artwork was crafted by graphic artist Nicky Chulo (GoldLink, Chaz French, REVOLT TV) while production duties were split between in-house instrumentalist Lo-Fi, TDE frequent collaborator Skhyehutch (Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city hymn “I’m Dying of Thirst”), Tobari, GameBrand, The Glitch Mob, Noose, Mister Temptation, The Watcherz and Jay himself.
