#SXSW: IllMore x Bud Light MIXXTAIL Event with Big Sean, Rae Sremmurd, Future & more [Photos]

Bud Light MIXXTAIL was a presenting sponsor of the IllMore, which in its fifth successful year has become the most talked about late night party during SXSW with exclusive performances each year.

This year, the IllMore featured sets by Chance the Rapper, Fetty Wap, ATrak, Future, Rae Sremmurd, J-Cole, Bun B, Big Sean, Mike Will Made IT and many more.

The IllMore created the ultimate hangout at the Saint Elmo Soundstage with an indoor/outdoor set up, local food trucks, games, hookah lounge, pop-up barbershop and intimate performance area. The after party was the perfect fit for Bud Light MIXXTAIL – a new cocktail-inspired product under the Bud Light portfolio – which is all about the house party.

Bud Light MIXXTAIL worked with local graffiti artists Kristin Freeman and Bradford Maxfield to create original MIXXTAIL signage, as well as a live mural of Biggie that they worked on throughout the three nights – check out the final product below!

On Saturday during the day, Bud Light MIXXTAIL also hosted a pre-party backyard BBQ at the original IllMore house. Guests hung out on the lawn, drank a few MIXXTAILs, played games and ate some BBQ.A few up & coming artists such as Uzi and Good Joon stopped by as well as rapper YG.

#January28th: Happy Birthday To The Talented J. Cole!

We have a birthdayyyyy! Mr. January 28th himself, J. Cole celebrates his day of birth on today!

Quotable Lyrics

Don’t give ’em too much you
Don’t let ’em take control
It’s one thing you do
Don’t let ’em taint your soul
If you believe in God
One thing’s for sure
If you ain’t aim too high
Then you aim too low

The humbled and unique J. Cole, blesses the rap game endlessly with knowledge, humility, and evolving talent. As one of the earliest signees to Roc Nation, Cole is indeed a trigger. He can make you appreciate everything you have in one track, while in the next, he’ll have you going hard in the gym; and in the following he’ll have you reminisce about your first love.

Having dropped 2014 Forest Hills Drive last month, which quickly became #1 on the Billboard charts, Cole has now achieved the mark of having three #1 albums. Let’s not forget how at the request of a fan, J. Cole arrived at her residence in Philadelphia to autograph the album. More importantly, he made it his business to protest in Ferguson after the Mike Brown murder. How Fly is that?!

J. Cole, the SFPL Team thanks you for all of your contributions to this industry and society in itself. We love the original essence of hip hop that your art brings to the game. Your truly a game-changer!

We would like to wish you the Flyest of Birthday’s, J. Cole! You deserve it!

Don’t forget to download 2014 Forest Hills Drive if you haven’t done so already!

-Stay Fly!

The Fly-Review: J. Cole’s “Forrest Hills Drive”…

As we transition into adults there are always constant reminders that make you wish you could rewind time and absorb this as a child. If you heard this album, I’m sure you’d agree, this album does just that.
