[ione_embed src= service=youtube width=640 height=360 type=iframe]

As seen on You Heard That New, Rapper Iman takes us to church (literally) with the help of Jxshua X and Almty Ceez in the visual for “Holy.” The video, directed by Joe Puma of the Program, is the latest single off his upcoming project Blessed, the track layers a hip-hop beat over the sound of organs and a church chorus. His full-length project will be dropping later this year.

SFPL Artist Spotlight: Iman – “Costs” [New Music]

Yonkers’ rapper Iman is setting things straight for those who may be confused: You aren’t in charge here- he is.

“Think you runnin’ things, holdin’ it down for the squad. Imma buy the whole block, never care what it costs,” Iman boasts on his latest single “Costs.” The braggadocios track also finds the rapper reminding foes who really put his city on. This track is sure to be the spring anthem, making everyone who hears it feel ready to buy the whole block.

[Fly-LIGHTS] Solange Knowles/Rachel Roy/Joan Smalls/Chanel Iman/Ashanti/Thandie Newton

Fly Girl, Solange Knowles stepped out in a beautiful Vera Wang gown and blue peep toe platforms for the  “Runway to Win,” a fundraiser for President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign.

Looking every bit the Fly Girl we’ve grown to love.

Not so fashionably consistent, Rachel Roy actually looked pretty good at the same dinner. Clad in red slacks with and amazing fit. python pointy toed stilettos, grey blazer, and American flag adorned shirt, Rachel was a far cry from what she normally does ….

Model Joan Smalls looked amazing!

Joan absolutely RIPs every Runway she walks and we can’t wait to see her this week!

Chanel Iman didn’t captivate us like she normally does…

This scene is way more interesting than Chanel’s outfit.

On the other side of town singer Ashanti got my full undivided attention …

Yes, you read that right, No Ashanti bashing today, she looks amazing! She hit up the premiere of Safe House in New York City, clad in a embellished dressed with greek drapery and nude Louboutin heels.

Now if her music sounds as good as she looks, she might have a chance at a great comeback.

We. Shall. See.

and Thandie Newton wore an elegant one-shoulder black gown with a gold belt for the Laureus World Sports Awards. She looked like a greek goddess which appears to be what everyone is going for these days!

Seen on The Scene...

Alicia Keys hosted the Keep a Child Alive’s 6th Annual Black Ball last night in NYC. It was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom and was filled with star power, including Halle Beerrrrryy, Halle Berry.

The beautiful Iman was on deck.

A Dapper Usher managed to shake Tameka (who probably followed him there) and made an appearance.

My Wife to be and more after the jump…

Slow news day? Here are 5 more random thoughts for you…

Excuse me, Michael..

Why the hell are your last 50 shows overseas? I could have sworn you were born in Gary, Indiana. One would think you would give us American fans a little shine before you moon walked over in London.

I mean, really. I thought about flying to London to see you, then I though if he can’t show us some love over here than *hmph* Huff and puff your a$$ on over there, then…

If my Mom walked in the Club (enough reason for me to die) and they started playing Blame it on the Alcohol in her honor…

My time on this Earth would come to an end.

More after the jump…

I simply luv it.
