The Sneaker Pimps tour celebrated it’s 10th anniversary in Los Angeles on Friday, August 10th. The headliners included XXL freshman Iggy Azalea and Hopsin. Good*Fella Media was in attendance to capture the moment and have a few words with Iggy.
Iggy Azalea clarifies the meaning behind the Murda Bizness video and admits that T.I. hated the original idea.
“… That was all my idea. TIP (T.I.) was like, “Iggy what the hell are you doing. I hate it!” – I was like, ‘You’re going to get it when it comes together. Trust me!’ — If you really do listen to the lyrics it’s not literal at all. It’s really about dressing and being the flyest-illest b*tch and killing sh*t. It seemed pretty obvious to me, but it wasn’t to the rest of the world, unfortunately.”
Iggy then breaks down Toddlers & Tiaras, the competitive child pageants, and explains why it reminds her of the Rap game.
“There costumes, diamonds, tiaras, and all the glamour of it all, it just reminds me of — the glitz — it reminds me of Bling. It’s the same f*cking sh*t. Toddlers & Tiaras actually has a lot more in common with rappers and flashy shit (than you think).”
