New Music & Videos: Daley, Jill Scott, Iggy Azalea, Desiigner, Zayn & PartyNextDoor

R&B hit-maker Daley is set to release his upcoming studio album The Spectrum via BMG. For his second full-length album, Daley draws on professional and personal experiences from the last two years, including the loss of close friend and manager Richard Antwi. With this release, Daley has unlocked the next chapter of his musical journey with renewed inspiration… and eagerly-awaited new music.

For the first single “Until The Pain Is Gone,” Daley teamed up with none other than the R&B queen Jill Scott to create a love song that reflects the bittersweet push-pull of being vulnerable in love.

“Having Jill involved is an honor,” Daley explains. “She’s royalty in my eyes- someone I’ve looked up to musically from a very malleable stage in my songwriting career. When I was just starting to understand how to put my feelings into song, Jill was one of a handful of influential artists who’s music helped me figure out how to channel that.”

Working with one of his greatest inspirations came about after Daley opened one of Jill Scott’s shows in London.

“She was really kind and encouraging and we stayed in touch,” he says. “In the studio writing this song I just had a feeling… kept hearing Jill’s voice as the song developed, like it was asking for her energy. I’ve learned to trust those gut feelings when they occur, so after a little hesitation I sent it to her for her thoughts… and was thrilled to receive a reply that she loved it! She took it and interpreted it in her own amazingly soulful way, and it was done.”

The Word: Iggy Azalea Thanks Nick Young’s Teammate D’Angelo Russell For Video Exposing Her Fiance.

Iggy Azalea and Nick Young’s relationship has been surrounded by rumors of infidelity on Young’s part since their engagement last June; but Azalea has always brushed them off. Just last week while sitting down with 92.3 AMP Radio’s Shoboy in the Morning she had this to say,

“When people come out and say things, and have their entire [press plan] where they do 700 interviews about the one time you catcalled me out of a car supposedly, to me that takes a bit of the potential authenticity of the story away. I believe my man, and Nick is a super nice guy. This is not the kind of thing he would do.”

Sorry Iggy it appears Nick isn’t a nice guy after all.

A few days ago, video surfaced of Young admitting to stepping out on his fiancé with a 19-year-old he met at the club. The video was captured by Young’s Los Angeles Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell. Russell goes on to ask him how old he was during the encounter and proceeds to ask if he’s ever pursued a tussle in the sheets with Amber Rose. Young matter a factly responds “No, she knows my girl.”

Young may be smart enough not to bang one of Iggy’s girls, but clearly not enough to keep from admitting to cheating on camera. While Young along with a majority of his teammates have iced out Russell, Azalea thanked him for the leak.

According to sources, Young is currently doing anything and everything to earn Azalea’s forgiveness. We’ll have to wait and see how things play out and whether Azalea will go through with saying “I Do”. In the meantime watch the incriminating video clips of Young admitting to infidelity below.

You thought Iggy Azalea was giving up? Not quite. The rap-austress returns with an electro-banger entitled “Azillion”. Playing off the fundamentals of her stage name, Iggy seems to be focused lyrically and she moves straight forward into a new direction.

While planning her upcoming wedding with fiancé Nick Young, Azalea has also been in the studio working on her new album Digital Distortion.

In the process of mastering her newly recorded work, Iggy tapped her friend, Power 105.1‘s Charlamagne Tha God [who always stood up for Iggy and even called her a Hip Hop Legend] for an exclusive listen and to get some 1 on 1 advice. Charlamagne gave his honest feedback and also mentioned that he was surprised that she was working and not crying in the fetal position, due to so much backlash that she received all year; even from Erykah Badu.

Did C Tha God’s help work? From the sounds of the new track, Iggy might just be on to something but time will tell.

In the meantime, check out the track below and let us know what you think:

SXSW: Iggy Azalea and G-Eazy at Milk Music Lounge, Big Sean at Samsung Studio

This week at SXSW, Samsung hosted an exclusive late night concert at the Samsung Milk Music Lounge with performances by rapper G-Eazy, and artist Iggy Azalea. Guests were welcomed by the beats of DJ Mel DeBarge.

G-Eazy first took the stage to get the crowd ready for the night.  Towards the end of the rapper’s performance, he brought his protégé San Francisco-based singer Devon Baldwin – Devon’s new single “Waiting too Long” recently premiered online and is already gaining tons of attention.

Later in the night, Milk Music’s top artist over the past year, Iggy Azalea, took to the stage wearing cute booty shorts paired perfectly with thigh-high black leggings and a gold and black jacket.  She ended her set with her hit and crowd-favorite, “Fancy” while a hail of confetti rained down on the crowd including A$AP Rocky and his crew.

Additionally, earlier that evening, Samsung hosted a private cocktail party for Universal Music Publishing Group with guest of honor Big Sean (pictured up top). Guests including UMG’s very own Ethiopia Habtemariam, rising artists Vince Staples, BJ The Chicago Kid and Kari Faux celebrated on the Samsung Studio Rooftop to toast to SXSW 2015.  Everyone was having a great time, enjoying light bites and cocktails, posing for GIFs on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and dancing to beats by DJ Dexter Love.

Opinions Opinions: 2015’s Most Bitter Celebs and Personalities Thus Far

In today’s bitter news, we have 10 celebrities who have been having a very salty 2015. Here is what #TeamSFPL has to say about all of the saltiness.

The Word: Nick Young Threatens ESPN Anchor Robert Flores Over Iggy Azalea…

NBA baller, Nick Young is not happy about some shots Sports Center anchor Robert Flores launched at his girlfriend Iggy Azalea (who get’s shot at at least once a week). Yesterday morning, during his “What Did We Learn?” segment, Robert attempted to launch some shots at Nick but poor Iggy got caught in the crossfire.

And we Quote:

“And what did we learn? We learned that according to the Lakers’ Nick Young, a dolphin recently tried to kill him. So, Nick, while dolphins are trying to kill you, your girlfriend is trying to kill hip-hop. Let’s call it even, OK?”

Peep the video for yourself.

Nick wasn’t to thrilled, and took his talents to Twitter to shoot some shots of his own.

Our hood translator is off today, so we can’t accurately decipher what he’s actually saying.

But we think he’s threatening Robert Flores.

Watch: Iggy Azalea feat. Jennifer Hudson – “Trouble” [Fly Visual]

In a cinematic-clip, Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson stars in their new collaboration visual entitled “Trouble.”

In the video, Jennifer plays a cop who’s chasing the “Bonnie & Clyde” bank robbers, as Iggy drives the car of her “escaped from jail” boyfriend rides along in the passenger seat, until they crash the vehicle. Jenny sings with the raptress and puts her in handcuffs at the very end.

T.I. actually paired the two together for the epic track. We love it!
