Watch: The New Official Trailer For The Tupac Biopic ‘ALL EYEZ ON ME’

Today, the official trailer for the Tupac Biopic ALL EYEZ ON ME has been released and you can view it right here at SFPL! The film is set to hit theaters on June 16, 2017. The biopic will also be closing out this year’s American Black Film Festival (ABFF) on June 17.

Directed by Benny Boom, the story stars Kat Graham, Lauren Cohan, Hill Harper, Jamal Woolard, Danai Gurira and Demetrius Shipp Jr. as “Tupac Shakur”, and produced by L.T. Hutton, David Robinson and James G. Robinson.

About the biopic:

‘ALL EYEZ ON ME’ tells the true and untold story o a prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur. The film follows Shakur from his early days in New York City to his evolution into being one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices before his untimely death at the age of 25. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics, and revolutionary mind-set propelled him into becoming a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his passing.

ImageNation & 103.9FM Announce Cocktails, Cinema & Revolution: An Evening Honoring Ava DuVernay, Melissa Harris-Perry, Hill Harper and Black Lives Matter


ImageNation Cinema Foundation has announced the return of its Revolution Awards to celebrate innovative trailblazers for their groundbreaking efforts in media, arts and social change. Titled, Cocktails, Cinema & Revolution, the evening will celebrate Black excellence, artistry and activism. Honorees include Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay, MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-PerryBlack Lives Matter and actor Hill Harper of Limitless and CSI, NY. Sponsored by Radio 103.9 and the National Black Programming Consortium, ‘Cocktails, Cinema and Revolution’ will take place Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 at the SVA Theatre in New York City.

The festive affair will feature a live performance by vocalist/composer Jeremy James and a screening of the upcoming Lionsgate/CodeBlack film 1982This special advance screening of ‘1982’ launches Cocktails & Cinema,a new monthly series of films, cocktails, talkbacks and music at ImageNation’s RAW SPACE in Harlem. Starring Hill Harper, Sharon Leal, Wayne Brady, Troi Zee, La La Anthony and Ruby Dee, director Tommy Oliver’s emotional debut feature chronicles a Philadelphia father’s struggle to protect his daughter from the reality of her mother’s drug addiction. The film will be followed by a talkback with director Tommy Oliver, actor Hill Harper, image activist Michaela Angela Davis and noted psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere.

ImageNation created the ‘Revolution Awards’ in 2003 to celebrate the accomplishments of artists and activists who use their platforms to inspire social change and produce edifying images of Black and Latino communities. Past honorees and participants include Spike Lee, Congressman John Lewis, Erykah Badu, Lee Daniels, Ruby Dee, Jaime Hector, Talib Kweli, Tom Burrell, Debra Lee, Keith Beauchamp, Stanley Nelson, and Lisa Cortes.

For nearly 20 years, ImageNation has produced events, programming and platforms that celebrate and promote the rich film, music and cultural stories of the African diaspora.  They have presented events nationally and globally in Canada, South Africa and Scotland. They are currently in the midst of their Soul Cinema campaign to build a boutique cinema in Harlem dedicated to independent Black film music, and media.
