Fly News: Verizon and Spotify partner to make gift giving easier

Verizon has partnered with Spotify to help make picking out the perfect gift a little easier this holiday season.

Launching today at www.vzw.com/playlist, the “Holiday Hintlists” are fun and specific, curated playlists that spell out what tech products consumers want for the holidays.

Users visit the site, select the Verizon gift they want – including smartphones, headphones, smartwatches, and connected home devices – and the experience generates a custom “hint” playlist on Spotify that users can share to their social channels.

Hundreds of curated playlists, featuring songs by artists including H.E.R., Outkast and more, are used to spell out playful, gift-request messages. Additional playlists will be added throughout the month of December.

The tool was created based on the insight that millennials create and share more playlists during the holiday season.

Receiving mentions from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Alicia Keys, Usher, Frank Ocean, Rihanna and more, mysterious artist H.E.R. continues to soar on her impressive music wave and drops a new track teasing a Vol. 2 EP of her upcoming series.

“Say It  Again” was written and co-produced by H.E.R. and Darhyl “Hey DJ” Camper Jr. The project is set to drop on June 2nd. The talented artist will also reveal her identity at this year’s BET Experience on June 23.

H.E.R. – “Your Way” [New Music]

Remaining unknown by face but very much by the voice and music, H.E.R. is back with more new music!

Today, the “Focus” singer drops “Your Way” produced by R.M. Tedder and Scootie, penned by singer/songwriter Ginette Claudette and producer/singer/songwriter Swaggrcelious.

Expounding on the darkness and light intensity of her sound that leaves you very curious and wanting more, she adds the classic formula of Aaliyah‘s “Come Over” as almost she and the late artist created the collaboration in a perfect world. It’s completely flawless.

H.E.R. is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on the sequel to the Vol. 1 project which will be due out soon.

H.E.R. Releases The Much-Anticipated Full Track of “Pigment”

With so much pressure in the air from fans wanting the full version of H.E.R.‘s hit track “Pigment” from the H.E.R. Vol. 1 EP, the glowing artist decided to drop the official song just for the holidays for listeners to enjoy.

Since the release of the EP, it has become the absolute music go-to favorite for celebs like: Alicia Keys, Usher, Bryson Tiller, Wyclef Jean and more. The project also made iTunes list of Best Albums of 2016 along with the likes of Solange, Tory Lanez, Bruno Mars, Anderson.Paak, Childish Gambino, Rihanna and many more.

Currently, songs apart of the body of work like “Losing” is sitting at 1.32 million plays and “Focus” at 1.86 million plays on Soundcloud.

Mysterious Singer H.E.R. Gets The Attention of Alicia Keys, Bryson Tiller, & Wyclef Jean

Who is H.E.R. and why are some of the biggest names in music talking about H.E.R., Vol. 1?

While the identity if H.E.R. is still unknown, the songstress has garnered co-signs from a slew of artists including Alicia Keys, Bryson Tiller, Justine Skye, and Wyclef Jean for her new EP H.E.R., Vol. 1.  Keys and Jean took to Twitter to sing their praises and Tiller reposted her track “Focus” on SoundCloud.

The EP is currently No. 1 on iTunes R&B/Soul chart and features seven cuts including her take on Drake’s “Jungle,” off his project If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
