From writer/director/producer Deon Taylor, “Meet the Blacks” is comedy/horror hybrid spoofing the hit film “The Purge,” and stars Mike Epps (“The Hangover,” “50 Shades of Black,” “Resident Evil: Apocalypse”), George Lopez (“Lopez Tonight,” “Swing Vote,” “Balls of Fury”), Mike Tyson (“The Hangover” series “Scary Movie 5”), Bresha Webb (NBC’s “Truth Be Told”), Zulay Henao (“True Memoirs of An International Assassin”) as well as a ‘who’s who’ of pop culture personalities including Gary Owen (“Ride Along”) Charlie Murphy (“The Chappelle Show”), Tameka “Tiny” Cottle(VH1’s TI & Tiny with Rap artist husband TI), gossip columnist Perez Hilton, Paul Mooney (Richard Pryor’s longtime writing partner), Vine star Andrew Bachelor, and comedians Lil Duvall, DeRay Davis and Lavell Crawford.

“Meet the Blacks” is written, produced and directed by former pro basketball player turned filmmaker Deon Taylor (“Supremacy” “Chain Letter,” “Dead Tone”).

Roxanne Avent (“Nite Tales,” “The Hustle,” “Free Agents”) and Shannon McIntosh (“The Hateful Eight,” “Django Unchained,” “Inglorious Basterds”) produced the film alongside Taylor. Executive producers are Mike Epps, NBA star Tony Parker, Michael Finley, Venu Kondle and Derek Dudley.

Original music for the film is written, produced and performed by RZA, the iconic producer, multi-instrumentalist, author, rapper, actor, director, composer, and screenwriter. RZA is also an executive producer.

New Music: Rio Original Motion Picture Soundtrack…

To all the parents who have their weekly movie play dates with their kids, this one’s for you!! After all, everybody knows,  it’s the music that makes the movie!!

RIO Original Motion Picture Soundtrack hit stores Tuesday! The RIO Soundtrack features an all-star cast including of The Black Eyed Peas, Jamie Foxx, Bebel Gilberto, Taio Cruz, Ester Dean, Siedah Garrett, Jemaine Clement, and Brazilian sensation Carlinhos Brown.

Leading the musical contributions is “Hot Wings (I Wanna Party),” an original song by (as the redheaded bird, Pedro) that he sings with his ‘sidekick’ Jamie Foxx (as the yellow canary, Nico).  R&B/Pop star Taio Cruz contributes a new, original song, “Telling the World”, that captures the heart of the film. Sergio Mendes adds a brand new recording of his classic bossa nova hit with Brasil ’66, “Mas Que Nada.”  Mendes, who also serves as executive music producer of RIO, brought in Carlinhos Brown to further shape the film’s music and sound.

RIO, starring the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jane Lynch, and Jamie Foxx, hits theaters on Friday, April 15th. Check out the full track listing below and then pick up RIO Original Motion Picture Soundtrack NOW!!
