Last Night In NYC: Big Sean, DJ Khaled, G-Eazy & DNCE Hit the Stage for Bud Light Party Convention

unspecified-25

This past weekend, the Bud Light Party culminated its 13-city tour hosting the Convention of all conventions, with Big Sean, DJ Khaled, G-Eazy and DNCE. The evening was hosted by Power 105.1’s Angela Yee and actor Michael Pena at the Time Square Playstation Theater. Skating Aratas kicked off the night with an electrifying dance routine to get the crowd hype before Yi and Pena introduced DNCE to hit the stage. In between sets DJ ProStyle spun some of the biggest hip-hop and pop tracks.

G- Eazy then sent the crowd into a frenzy with his hits “Me, Myself and I,” “Order More,” and “Let’s Get Lost.” Angela Yi then stepped out and invited the crowd to “raise one to right now” and toast to the night with Bud Lights in hand. Shortly after, Big Sean stepped out and lit the stage ablaze calling the fans to rap along to “Beware,” “Clique,” and “IDFWY.” And just when fans thought it couldn’t get any better DJ Khaled joined the stage, bags in tow, and to speak with the crowd and play a bit of his club bangers.

Aside from the amazing performances, fans were able to grab cold brews and take part in various interactive activations onsite from a photo station to collecting cool Bud Light swag.  With the two of them on stage – the final Convention ended in a fashion befitting of the Empire State!

Fly Visual: YG, G-Eazy, and Macklemore Drop Striking Black & White Video For “FDT Part 2”

YG, G-Eazy, and Macklemore bring us their video for their anti-Trump record “FDT Part 2.” The striking black and white visual even brings in the People for an assist, meshing in images from Trump protest rallies that have taken place all over the United States. While the video features some lighthearted moments, like a protester dancing in a ridiculous Trump mask the message is clear, F*CK Donald Trump.

The original record appeared on YG’s Still Brazy album and featured Nipsey Hussle. YG has taken his indignation towards Trump even further by naming him upcoming tour The F*ck Donald Trump Tour. The tour kicks off September 18 at the Observatory North Park in San Diego and will feature RJ, Kamaiyah, and Sad Boy.

Watch the fitting visual for “FDT Part 2” below. You can also check out the dates for YG’s upcoming tour.

SXSW: Iggy Azalea and G-Eazy at Milk Music Lounge, Big Sean at Samsung Studio

big-sean-sxsw

This week at SXSW, Samsung hosted an exclusive late night concert at the Samsung Milk Music Lounge with performances by rapper G-Eazy, and artist Iggy Azalea. Guests were welcomed by the beats of DJ Mel DeBarge.

G-Eazy first took the stage to get the crowd ready for the night.  Towards the end of the rapper’s performance, he brought his protégé San Francisco-based singer Devon Baldwin – Devon’s new single “Waiting too Long” recently premiered online and is already gaining tons of attention.

Later in the night, Milk Music’s top artist over the past year, Iggy Azalea, took to the stage wearing cute booty shorts paired perfectly with thigh-high black leggings and a gold and black jacket.  She ended her set with her hit and crowd-favorite, “Fancy” while a hail of confetti rained down on the crowd including A$AP Rocky and his crew.

Additionally, earlier that evening, Samsung hosted a private cocktail party for Universal Music Publishing Group with guest of honor Big Sean (pictured up top). Guests including UMG’s very own Ethiopia Habtemariam, rising artists Vince Staples, BJ The Chicago Kid and Kari Faux celebrated on the Samsung Studio Rooftop to toast to SXSW 2015.  Everyone was having a great time, enjoying light bites and cocktails, posing for GIFs on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and dancing to beats by DJ Dexter Love.
