Last Night in NYC, The Peete’s minus 2 were on hand to host a screening of their new OWN TV reality series For Peete’s Sake and team SFPL was on hand.
The show follows the lives of Rodney Peete and Holly Robinson Peete as they celebrate 20-years of marriage and their four children twins RJ and Ryan, 13-year-old Robinson and their youngest 10-year-old Roman, Holly’s 80-year-old mom/uber-manger Delores and their two dogs.
Invited media were welcomed with a full open-bar of wine and cocktails while enjoying delicious horderves while they waited the arrival of Peetes.
The Peete’s finally arrived anchored by their oldest kids twin siblings Ryan and RJ. The crowd quickly followed the family into the theater where they formally introduced themselves and the shows premise and how it all came together.
After the brief introduction, we watched the pilot episode and we absolutely loved it. We won’t spoil it for you by giving you all the details but we will just say it flows perfectly and the Peete’s are enjoyable to watch. After the screening the Peete’s fielded questions from the press in attendance.
They answered questions asked about RJ who is has autism but doesn’t let the disability slow him down one bit. They also touched on raising black children in these scary times right now where it seems like open season on black youth. It was also Rodney’s birthday so Holly showed off her singing talents and serenade her husband in a touching moment.
For Peete’s Sake premieres this Saturday 9/8 central on Own TV and we highly recommend you and if you have kids tune in for some good wholesome family television.
