Last Night In NYC: Angie Martinez and PITCH PERFECT 3 Cast Host Private Screening in NYC

Radio personality and voice of New York City, Angie Martinez, hosted a special screening of the Universal Pictures film PITCH PERFECT 3 in New York last night. In the essence of all things girl power, Angie was joined by PITCH PERFECT 3 cast members Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, and Hana Mae Lee.

After the screening, Angie moderated a Q&A with the cast to discuss what fans can expect from the latest installment, favorite moments while filming, and which PITCH PERFECT is their all-time favorite. PITCH PERFECT 3 will hit theaters on December 22, 2017.

D∆WN strikes back with a vengeance with new single “Dance.”  This infectious record is the lead single from the third installment of her album trilogy called The Red Era. D∆WN enlists her trusty producers Noisecastle III and Swagg R’Celious along with power writer Ester Dean to unleash her best song to date.

SFPL Artist Spotlight: Ester Dean Is One to Watch, Signs New Artist Jasmine V.


Singer-songwriter Ester Dean has earned Grammy nominations, co-starred in the second highest grossing music comedy Pitch Perfect, written No. 1 songs, and earned a BMI “Songwriter of the Year” Award, but you ain’t seen nothing yet!

The much sought-after actress and songwriter — who’s penned hits for everyone from Katy Perry and Beyonce to Kelly ClarksonNicki Minaj and Rihanna – is poised to make an even greater mark on the entertainment industry over the next few months.

This Spring, Dean is set to reprise her role as funny-girl “Cynthia Rose” in Pitch Perfect 2, the sequel to the 2012 musical comedy. Her Nicki Minaj collaboration “Pills N Potions” is currently in heavy rotation and she’s recently released two new singles, “Get My Dough” and “Twerk’n 4 Berk’n (featuring Juicy J)” – both available now on iTunes. 

A fearless businesswoman, Dean heads her own joint venture E.K.A.S Records alongside Interscope Records, and is releasing her first artist Jasmine V, whose debut single, “That’s Me Right There” featuring Kendrick Lamar, has just hit the air waves.

Jasmine Villegas, a phenomenally popular young singer who has soared to the top of the social media universe, is set to release her first Interscope Records single. The catchy summer anthem “That’s Me Right There,” featuring award-winning, platinum-selling Kendrick Lamar, will be available digitally beginning August 5. Villegas (aka Jasmine V), who signed to Interscope last year, is readying an extended play release for this fall.

“I feel like that song kind of represents my sound,” she told Latina magazine about the aptly-titled “That’s Me Right There” in a February 2014 cover story. “After all these years of trying to find myself and create myself, I finally did.” “That’s Me Right There” was produced by Harmony Samuels (Jennifer LopezKeyshia Cole, and Ariana Grande‘s double platinum Top 10 hit “The Way”).

The 20-year-old Villegas, born in San Jose, California, has already scored more than 100 million YouTube views and currently has over 1.68 million followers on Twitter and more than 645,000 on Instagram (her fans are called Jasminators). Her Facebook likes exceed 931,000. In 2012, she was listed as the #3 Most Powerful Woman on Twitter and the #1 Top Twitter User in Los Angeles by  She was also named the #9 Most Influential Musician on Twitter by Her international fan base ranges from Mexico to the Philippines.

Discovered at age 11, her rise has been marked by featured roles on hit television shows (including “That’s So Raven,” “My Wife and Kids,” and “The Suite Life of Zach and Cody”), nationally televised music performances, and guest spots on tours (Justin Bieber‘s My World Tour) and in music videos (Bieber’s “Baby”).  Her 2011 mixtape, “S(he) Be(lie)ve(d),” yielded three successful buzz tracks: “Jealous,” “Werk,” and “Just A Friend.”  This summer, she has starred on the Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Summer Tour with Demi Lovato and Austin Mahone.
