Guess who’s back? Shady’s back!
Eminem took to Twitter yesterday to announce that he is currently working on a new album. Not only did the real Slim Shady tease the album; but he offered us a taste of what’s in store, delivering a new record titled “Campaign Speech.”
The almost 8-minute long track features Em showcasing his superb rhyme skills using multi-syllable patterns and unapologetically unleashing his thoughts on a range of topics from Donald Trump to the death of Eric Garner and even George Zimmerman.
On Donald Trump:
“Consider me a dangerous man / But you should be afraid of this dang candidate / You say Trump don’t kiss ass like a puppet / ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the fundin’ / And that’s what you wanted / A fuckin’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button / Who doesn’t have to answer to no one—great idea!”
On George Zimmerman:
“Dressing George Zimmerman in a fluorescent orange / Dress and four-inch / Heels to address the court / With a bullseye on his back, his whole chest and torso / Are left on the doorsteps of Trayvon’s dad as a present for him / In my present form / I’m Desert Storm.”
Marshall’s forthcoming album will follow 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
