King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude
Pusha T gave powerful performance on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” last night. Performing new track “Sunshine” along with “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets” off his new project King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude, Pusha touched on the racial issues the country is still facing. The socially conscious song “Sunshine” is perfectly complemented by Jill Scott soulful crooning on the hook, and mentions Freddie Gray, Dom Lemon, Huey P. Newton, and Chief Keef.
When asked by Noah whether this is a theme present throughout the album Pusha T retorted:
“I’m talking about everything that’s going on in society. The good, the bad, and the ugly.”
‘King Push – The Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude’ drops Friday December 18th via Def Jam & G.O.O.D. Music. The album is available now for preorder on iTunes.
