Where’s The Love?

Just thirteen years after it’s initial hit onto the music scene, the Black Eyed Peas relives their classic song “Where’s The Love?” in 2016 to spread unity, peace and love throughout the world due to recent tragic happenings.

Joining the chart-topping band are the likes of: Mary J. Blige, The Game, Diddy, Tori Kelly, Cassie, Nicole Scherzinger, Jessie J., Andra Day, Justin Timberlake, Usher, DJ Khaled, LL Cool J, Quincy Jones, Jaiden Smith, A$AP Rocky, Rosario Dawson, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Jhene Aiko (and her daughter) and many more.

DJ Khaled delivers the keys and he speaks on terrorism and gun violence, paired with a few bars of the same nature from Diddy and The Game. Jaiden and Rocky also pair-up to get a few things off their chest about society, voting, drug dealers and more.

All proceeds from the actual sale of the song will be donated to will.i.am’s non-profit foundation, i.am.angel.

The Black Eyed Peas Remake “Where’s The Love,” Inspired By Series of Tragic Events

The Black Eyed Peas are back to once again to ask the masses “Where’s The Love?”

Fergie, Will.I.Am, Apl.De.Ap and Taboo recreate their hopeful anthem to inspire a new generation to take a stand.

Featuring an all-star line-up that includes Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Nicole Scherzinger, The Game, Jessie J, Andra Day, Tori Kelly, Ty Dolla $ign, Usher, DJ Khaled, A$AP Rocky, Jaden Smith, and Justin Timberlake; Will.I.am told ATTN:,

“Everyone was calling on us, like, we need that song again.”

The remake was sparked by the tragic events that have taken place here and abroad. From the terrorist attacks in Paris, Belgium, and Turkey; the deaths of Philando Castille, and Alton Sterling at the hands of police; to the attacks on law enforcement in Dallas; and the Orlando mass shooting, the group felt it was a message the world desperately needed to hear.

The group hopes the record will resonate with Millennials like it did with the masses back in 2003. Will.I.am explains,

“Millennials are powerful. I don’t think they realize just how powerful they are. I hope this song inspires the millennials to go all out, scream from the tallest mountain, care like your freedom depends on it. Pay attention like that is at risk.”

Fly News: Forbes Drops Their Hip Hop’s Five Wealthiest List

We’re almost halfway into 2016 which means it’s time for Forbes to drop The Forbes Five list identifying Hip Hop’s wealthiest. This year’s cash kings are no stranger to the list with the exception of one newcomer who landed this year’s number five spot.

Drake came in at #5 with a net worth of $60 million from touring and his endorsements with Sprite, Nike, and Apple.

Coming in at #4 is a man who demands respeck, Birdman with $110 million down from $140 million the previous year, due in part to the turmoil surrounding Cash Money.

Rounding off the #3 spot is self proclaimed “I’m a business, man” himself Jay Z with $610 million, propelled by his Tidal streaming service which is now worth three times the $54 million purchase price.

Dr. Dre once again nabs the #2 spot with a net worth of $710 million thanks to his record setting sale of Beats by Dre, the biopic Straight Outta Compton, and a pretty impressive portfolio of California real estate.

Of course Money Making Mitch once again tops Hip Hop’s wealthiest list with $750 million. Diddy continues to prove his business savvy with stakes in Ciroc, his TV network Revolt, Sean John, and Aquahydrate.

The Word: Diddy Retires From Music To Take On Acting Full Time

It’s official! Although we feel like this happened already, but fly guy, Diddy is calling it quits! Well from music that is. After blessing us with major hits for years complete with signature dance moves and ad-libs, Diddy says he’s giving it all up to focus on a career in acting.

The hip hop mogul took his talents to                                                                                   to discuss his retirement and newest venture.  “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films … I want to stop at a great place.”

The question is … who is retiring? Diddy, P-Diddy or Puff Daddy?

His final album, No Way Out 2, is scheduled to be the final chapter of his legacy in the music industry.

“When I’m gone, only the songs will survive. I know I’m making music that will live on. I don’t go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio,” Diddy told the magazine. “Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie – part of them lives on in their music, even though they’re not here anymore. That’s really deep, man. The only thing like that is religion.”

We won’t hold you, but we grew up on Puff Daddy, he’s a hero of ours, so we are secretly happy that we’ve received the chance to experience the entire Bad Boy era! Diddy is ready to kick off his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour on May 20, with an additional date honoring Biggie’s birthday at the Barclays Center.

But before Diddy bows out he plans to travel the world one last time. “I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it one last time,” he said.

Missy Elliot: “I Don’t Think Diddy Understands The Magnitude of What He Did For Hip-Hop and R&B”, Missy Talks On Pharrell’s “OTHERtone” show via Beats 1 Radio

Since hitting the music scene on Gina Thompson‘s 1996 hit-record “The Things You Do” as a solo artist, Virginia native Missy Elliot has carved a cornerstone in music that just can’t be touch, nor fulfilled by anyone; as there is only one Missy Elliot.

Elliot recently paid a visit to Pharrell‘s OTHERtone show on Beats 1 Radio as she discussed her time in the music industry and how Diddy aka Puff Daddy had a big impact on her career, and is responsible for meshing Hip-Hop and R&B together — making it ok to bring the streets to soul.

Just when Missy was about to give up on being an “artist” it was Puff that pushed her into elevating her potential of being a star. History was made when Missy made an appearance on Gina’s record that catapulted her into superstardom.

I don’t even think Puff knows what he did for Hip-Hop. Because he intertwined Hip-Hop and R&B and he made it so that people weren’t intimidated. Even if you had a “Biggie” who was giving street lyrics and coming from a world that they may not know of that’s just straight hood; Puffy found those like 112 that made it felt good. Biggie was still real himself but the music was there. I don’t think her understood the magnitude of that he did.
