Fly Visual: DEMETRIA MCKINNEY FT. KANDI – “Unnecessary Trouble”

R&B songstress Demetria McKinney releases her new single and video featuring singer/songwriter Kandi. The song titled “Unnecessary Trouble” premiered last night on Season 8 of Bravo TV‘s Real Housewives of Atlanta where McKinney made a guest appearance. The video was directed by famed photographer Derek Blanks and features RHOA alumni Claudia Jordan.

Regarding the inspiration of the song and video, Demetria had this to say, “Unnecessary Trouble” came from the drama of season 7 of RHOA regarding not only my relationship with my boyfriend, but also the murmurs about Kandi and Todd‘s relationship. The song is an anthem made to remind people that relationships have to be figured out between the people in the relationship.

McKinney is widely known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, which has taped over 254 episodes and received five NAACP Image Awards for Best Sitcom. After her stint with season 7 Real Housewives of Atlanta the eOne Music recording artist has been keeping busy touring with the Pepsi Funkfest and opening for R. Kelly on his Black Panties Tour.

Demetria’s gut wrenching ballad “Trade It All” is currently on the Urban AC charts and her club and radio hit single titled “100.” skyrocketed to #4 and is currently on the iTunes R & B charts. “100” is a hip hop infused women’s anthem featuring one of the rap genre’s first ladies – Da Brat.

Kandi Burruss is a singer-songwriter, television personality, occasional actress, record producer and a former member of the group Xscape. Now, Burruss currently stars as one of six members in the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta since its second season premiere on July 30, 2009. Kandi will also serve as executive producer on Demetria McKinney’s upcoming LP Officially Yours.

New Reality Series ‘The Next 15’: Benzino, Claudia Jordan, Laura Govan, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Jennifer Williams & Karamo Brown

tvone-the-next-15

TV One today announced production has begun on The Next 15, a docu-series following the lives of six reality stars whose infamous television debuts have come and gone.Currently filming in Los Angeles, the series documents the return of one of the original reality TV divas, Tiffany “New York” Pollard (Flavor Of Love, I Love New York) and Claudia Jordan, who is out for redemption since recently ousted from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The cast also consists of reality show veterans Jennifer Williams (Basketball Wives), Karamo Brown (The Real World: Philadelphia), Laura Govan (Basketball Wives: LA), Raymond “Benzino” Scott (Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta). All are attempting to generate their next 15 minutes of fame. More than a game changer in reality television, TV One’s The Next 15 is disrupting the genre as we know it. The series showcases the normally unseen “fourth wall” between the producers and the talent, revealing what happens not only on camera but behind it too as the action unfolds.

These stars gained infamy as a result of their tumultuous personal lives playing out over the airwaves but are now committed to changing their public persona and taking their careers to new heights. TV One’s The Next 15, the latest offering from Carlos King – creator and executive producer of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and  the network’s hit series Hollywood Divas – is set to premiere in Q1 2016.

“The revolution is being televised and it is The Next 15!” said King. This groundbreaking series showcases some of reality’s most iconic personalities in a spotlight like you’ve never seen them before, while addressing the viewer’s curiosity of what it takes to make a reality show. The veil has finally been lifted giving viewers exclusive access into the production process of a docu-series.”

“It is with great excitement that we broaden our relationship with Carlos King who has an extraordinary ability of delivering dynamic and compelling content that connects with our audience,” said D’Angela Proctor, Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Production. “With this new project, viewers will get a fresh perspective on the drive and ambition of reality stars who know there aren’t guarantees of longevity in the genre and who must work just as hard and twice as fast to stay in the game.”

The Next 15 is Executive Produced by Carlos King of Kingdom Reign alongside Sergio Alfaro and Erica Forstadt of Eclipse TV. Lamar Chase is Producer; Robyn Greene Arrington is Executive in Charge of Production; and D’Angela Proctor is Head of Original Programming and Production TV One.

Congrats to our friend Carlos!!

It’s Reunion Season: Bravo Releases The Preview For Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 7 Reunion

Real Housewives of Atlanta
Bravotv.com

We are not sure if we watched the same episode as the world, but we could have sworn everything between the housewives were good. According to the preview that Bravo TV released, things got pretty heated during the reunion. Claudia came for Nene and her hair by calling Nene’s hair ‘thirsty.’

We could have sworn Phaedra and Kenya hashed things out during the women’s trip to Manilla; but the clip shows Phae Phae calling Kenya a ‘whore.’ Guess they just got along for the trip.
