HipHopDX & The Rapfest presents Series 8 Cipher: Jae Millz, Murda Mook & Nems (Produced Chicago Beats) [Fly Visual]

The RapFest is back with the 8th installment of their exclusive cipher series, bringing it harder than ever before. This serves as the finale to The Rapfest’s 4-part collaborative subseries with HipHopDX, and it’s no surprise that they decided to go out with a bang.

In this cipher series, Jae Millz, Nems, and Murda Mook, fires up the Chicago produced beat and knocks any last traces of winter out of the park, all in a New York minute! Exibition Z film’s Chris Zino was the only one talented enough to capture the visuals so exquisitely.

The RapFest broke barriers this time, orchestrating the reunion of two battle rap legends straight out of the streets of Harlem. YMCMB’s own Jae Millz and his former competitor, street legend Murda Mook, have barely communicated and certainly hasn’t been featured together since their battle on Smack DVD in 2005. Coney Island’s general, Nems, who is also no stranger to battle rap, serves as an accomplice to this annihilation premeditated by Chicago Beats. The eerie sounding effects and the dark aura created by the guitar are the perfect combination for the crime scene the trio creates.

The RapFest continues to execute in their mission to uplift every aspect of Hip Hop culture, from the producers to the emcees, deciphering every component and harmonizing it in a way that no other platform can.

Series 9 will premiere in April and there’s no telling what barriers will be broken next!

-Stay Fly!

For this edition, The Rapfest recruited three of New York’s finest: Vinny Cha$e (Harlem, NY), Manolo Rose (Brooklyn, NY), and Newburgh, NY based newcomer D. Di’Yari as the UpNext artist. Per usual, the visuals are captured by the eyes of talented director Chris Zino of Exhibition Z.

“Rapfest is contributing massively to the music community because they are providing an accessible outlet,” says the series producer Hazel who hails from Vancouver and has worked with the likes of Akon and Sophia Grace.

Hazel’s beat perfectly infused the New York grittiness from the early 90’s while remaining ahead of the curve in 2015. This cipher takes you back to the core of Hip-Hop and proudly displays some of the best recent talent the state of New York has to offer.

About The Rapfest
The RapFest is a membership based digital platform that is designed to bridge the gap between new artists, producers, and today’s top-tier Hip-Hop talent by incorporating ciphers, networking tools, and marketing campaigns. On The RapFest, each cipher makes up an episode using some of the industries biggest names and underground legends in Hip-Hop. One beat, three artists, each giving it their all. Every artist’s cipher is shot individually, in HD, and packaged together, giving those yet to be discovered an opportunity to be paired alongside some of the best doing it. Although each will be rapping on the same beat, no two ciphers will be alike.
