Kennedy Center Honors 2015: Aretha Franklin & Cece Winans Tributes Carole King & Cicely Tyson with EPIC Performances [Video]

If you missed the Kennedy Center Honors 2015 televised ceremony then you’re in for a treat, as we have full coverage right here for you!

Honorees Cicely Tyson received a glorified performance from our favorite inspirational alto, Cece Winans as she performed the classic hymn “Blessed Assurance”. Carole King also was musically recognized by Aretha Franklin (with clutch and fur coat in tow) as she echoed the consistent soulful sounds of “(You Make Me Feel) A Natural Woman”, which King co-wrote.

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Usher, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington and more were completely moved by both performances. The entire arena was on their feet and practically in tears; a moment no one will every forget.

Kerry, Viola and Tyler Perry were also involved in Cicely’s tribute.
