50 Cent responds to the media scrutiny following the recent news that he’s filed for bankruptcy and answers– is it hard to have your legal woes in the spotlight?

“I’ve seen so many things said about me on social networking at points and when you don’t anticipate it, it lands a little harder on you…I can see what’s going to come from people. It’s strategic. It’s a move that’s necessary for me to make at this point.”

He’s been shot 9 times, sold drugs in his youth but could rough financial times be ahead for 50 Cent?

Police brutality is a trending topic in the news but is it racially motivated? 50 Cent responds saying:

“I think it’s always been there. I don’t think it’s particularly racially motivated. I think that it’s being captured now because everyone is conditioned to have a phone or recording device so we see a little more.”

In addition, 50 Cent talks about his relationship with boxer Floyd Mayweather and their public arguments. Are they still friends? 50 says:

“He’s like my brother. My younger brother.”

I’m Broke Baby! : 50 Cent Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

50 cent files bankruptcy

Looks like 50 Cent found how to weasel his way right on out of that $5 Million dollar payout to Livonia Leviston [child’s mother of rapper Rick Ross] — just three days after she won a $5 million jury verdict against him, which 50 was sued over a sex tape scandal.

Or maybe this is just simply a money management issue that he really needs to straighten out, which is the reason for his sudden file? We don’t know. This is all so confusing.

As of today, according to WSJ50 filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Mr. Curtis Jackson reported assets and debts between the ranges of $10 million to $50 million but his liabilities are also between the same range.

Of course, at the point, 50 has to provide proof showing his worth and income — that way the jury can makes a decision to follow-up with the claim.

50’s attorney made a statement on the ‘Power’ honcho’s behalf:

This filing for personal bankruptcy protection permits Mr. Jackson to continue his involvement with various business interests and continue his work as an entertainer, while he pursues an orderly reorganization of his financial affairs,” says William A. Brewer III, partner at Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors and counsel to Mr. Jackson.

Just this past May, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson ranked No. 4 on this year’s Forbes Five, as they reported the rapper/entrepreneur at a net worth of $155 million with a source of music, beverages, technology and clothing.

To add more fuel to the fire, 50 also lost a case back in December 2014 to a company called Sleek Audio — where Cent reportedly stole a design and then tried marketing it on his own. He lost out on $17.2 million dollars.

We’ll keep our eyes open for any developing details.

Scott Storch Files for Bankruptcy…AGAIN, Says He Has $100 To His Name

scott-storch-bankruptcy

Scott Spencer Storch is known for a plethora of hits that even we lost count a long time ago! Now, the veteran producer-hitmaker is reportedly broke and is now filing for bankruptcy…again.

Storch has worked with artists like: Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Pink and so many more — making him worth $70 million over time.

Originally, he blew $30 mil in a 6 month span on drugs, women, cars, houses and the list goes on. That was the first draw.

Today, TMZ reports that Scott only has $100 in his pockets, $500 in clothing and a $3k watch. And, what makes it even worse, his music companies are valued at $0.

While filing his papers, he also claims in the bankruptcy docs that he made a grand total of $10,000 last year.

This should definitely be a lesson for every rapper, producer, artist to put your money away. Save it. Invest it. Be smart.

Thoughts?

[The Word] T-Boz is a Scrub…

Who would have known that one day the lyrics to one of her biggest singles would refer to her … No Morrreee Scruubbss!

Ohh T-Boz.

According to TMZ the 41-year-old mother of one owes creditors $768,642.99, mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house located in a suburb of Atlanta.

I’m confused as to why she needed such a pricey house in Atlanta, anyway?

T-boz has filed bankruptcy to help her with the debt she has incurred.

The only confusing thing to me is, didn’t she already file for bankruptcy? Or was that the group (TLC) as a whole after Pebbles sent them packing?

The reports go on to show just how much the singer is bringing in, but ya’ll know we are not that messy. We do wish her the best, and hope that this will teach all artist a lesson in good money management.

But what is it about these Artist from the same time period of Fame filing for Bankruptcy? Have you noticed?

T-Boz, TLC, Toni Braxton (twice), MC Hammer

What’s this really about?
