Last Night In NYC: Angie Martinez and PITCH PERFECT 3 Cast Host Private Screening in NYC

Radio personality and voice of New York City, Angie Martinez, hosted a special screening of the Universal Pictures film PITCH PERFECT 3 in New York last night. In the essence of all things girl power, Angie was joined by PITCH PERFECT 3 cast members Ester Dean, Chrissie Fit, and Hana Mae Lee.

After the screening, Angie moderated a Q&A with the cast to discuss what fans can expect from the latest installment, favorite moments while filming, and which PITCH PERFECT is their all-time favorite. PITCH PERFECT 3 will hit theaters on December 22, 2017.

In case you missed it, multimedia icon Angie Martinez co-hosted “The Real” on Fox today! During her time with the ladies, Angie revealed that she has signed a TV development deal with Endemol Shine.

Endemol Shine North America has signed a development deal with multimedia personality and bestselling author Angie Martinez, it was announced today by Cris Abrego, President of Endemol Shine.

As part of the agreement, Endemol, the production company behind such hit series as “Big Brother” (CBS), “MasterChef” (FOX), “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Bravo) and upcoming “Hunted” (CBS), along with Major TV, will develop unscripted and scripted content with Martinez for both traditional and digital platforms.

Martinez is a prolific voice in media with more than 20 years of on-air hosting experience across a variety of platforms. Her years of experience shedding light on today’s pop culture moments and icons give her a unique perspective and creative eye. The partnership will allow Martinez an opportunity to expand upon her natural knack for telling compelling stories.

“Angie is undeniably one of the most influential personalities in pop culture,” said Endemol Shine North America’s Abrego. “We’re thrilled to be in business with her and we’re already developing a handful of original, ground-breaking, projects with Angie and the team at Major TV.”

Martinez is recognized as one of the most influential personalities in popular culture and multi-media. Angie’s 20 years of on-air hosting experience has led her to become the media trailblazer she is today: multimedia host, spokeswoman, actress, recording artist, entertainment personality, author, and philanthropist.

Her weekday radio show, “The Angie Martinez Show,” airs on New York’s Power 105.1 and on Miami’s The Beat 103.5, and is also available through and the iHeartMedia app.

In May 2016, Martinez released her first memoir, My Voice (Celebra-Penguin Random House), where she detailed her climb to becoming a multimedia icon in the world of entertainment. The book quickly became a New York Times bestseller.

Major TV is led by Raymond Garcia, formerly publisher and founder of Celebra at Penguin Random House, where he published numerous best-sellers with top authors such as Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, and Chris Perez, author of To Selena With Love. The Word: Chris Brown Goes On Twitter Rant After Meek Mill Has Been Found Guilty of Violating Probation


Right after news hit social media about Meek Mill being found guilty of violating probation, Twitter, amongst other platforms, started to speak about the not-so-good news. Just only a few hours before his Royalty album release, Chris Brown weighed-in on the verdict and begin to defend his dear friend, right away. Meek’s sentencing has been delayed until Feb. 5th 2016.

As part of a series of events commemorating Puerto Rican Heritage Month, Mayor Bill De Blasio declares Angie Martinez Day on Thursday November 19th 2015 in NYC.

Angie has been blessing the airwaves since the tender age of 16 at radio station WQHTHot 97″ and has since become a household name, holding down the threshold of all-things-radio, and nailing major interviews that no other radio media personality could touch. Officially, earning her day presented the mayor of New York, it’s no secret that the award of proclamation was well-deserved. She now serves at her new media home of Power 105.1 [since leaving Hot 97 back in June 2014] and is managed by Jay Z‘s business conglomerate, Roc Nation.
