Water Music Publishing teamed up with Thump Universal Records and is releasing an EP for The Doughboy Project called The Introduction. “Open” is the first song to drop off the project and already has the clubs banging and the streets talking.
This new “RnB meets EDM” hit featuring Alus is circulating on Power 105.1 and Hot 97, two of NYC’s most popular radio stations.

There are few people in New Jersey that have touched more genres of music than DJ Doughboy. In addition to producing-writing-remixing house music, writing Hip-Hop & R&B for Queen Latifah, being a tour DJ for Joe Budden, and producing for Love & Hip-Hop star DJ Self, Doughboy is also one of the founding fathers of “Jersey Club Music.”
He recently teamed up with Smack Productions/Water Music Publishing and together they’re releasing The Doughboy Project. “Open” is the first single off the project which is officially called The Introduction. The song features vocals from New Jersey’s own singer/songstress Alus and has already become a club hit. Between the melodies and the groove you can’t lose with a formula like that. Last Night In NYC, DJ Khaled held an exclusive listening party in New York City at the elite restaurant/nightspot, LAVO. Sponsored by Ciroc, Belaire Rose and Dusse.
Celebs, Media and Influencers filled the room as they awaited the sounds of the most anticipated album of the entire year. Literally.
As Khaled eventually left his VIP section with the likes of L.A. Reid, Maino, Busta Rhymes, Yandy Smith, Uncle Murda, singer/songwriter Alus, producer Lee On The Beats and more, the “Snapchat King” spoke a few words before in the album playlist went in full motion. All about positivity, DJ Khaled thanked everyone that was involved with the project, and he especially Mr. Reid countless times, as the music vet has supported him from one.

In the last moments of 2015, Alus was building quite the exposure as she was releasing well-received records, including getting an DJ Khaled Instagram co-sign in anticipation for her mid-december project release, Alustrious 2.
As mid-December rolled around, no project surfaced at all. But today, Alus resurfaces with an amazingly fly-record showing off yet again her vocal chops. Scrapping the ‘Alustrious 2’ EP, the talented artist made her back to the studio to record more music that will soon take her in a different direction, gaining mass fan-ship.
