We Like: ‘Moonlight,’ ‘Atlanta’ Win Big at Golden Globes

unnamed

Last night, A24 and FX took home Golden Globes for the critically acclaimed film Moonlight and the hit new comedy series “Atlanta,” respectively.

Going into the evening with six nominations, Moonlight won the night’s most prestigious prize: “Best Motion Picture – Drama,” while “Atlanta” earned “Best Musical or Comedy TV Series” and “Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy” for creator/executive producer/star Donald Glover.

“As someone who went 8 years without making a piece, I gotta give love to A24,” said Moonlight director Barry Jenkins during his acceptance speech. To my mom… you gave me my life and I hope this film is a fulfillment of the life that you gave me. [And] To everybody on Twitter, Instagram, and everybody back home in Miami and New Orleans if you have seen this film, and told a friend all I ever ask is that you tell a friend, tell a friend and tell a friend.”

Since opening last October, Moonlight has been nominated for six NAACP Image Awards, six AAFCA Awards, three Screen Actor Guild Awards and six Independent Spirit Awards. The film has won two Critics’ Choice Awards, four Gotham Awards, four LA Film Critics Association Awards, three NY Film Critics Circle Awards and much more.

Fans can follow the evolution of the film’s success on the site thisisthestoryofalifetime.com. Moonlight is in theaters everywhere.

Last month, Donald Glover picked up a “Best Actor in a Comedy Series” award for “Atlanta” at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Season one of “Atlanta” is available for viewing online.

Cara Delevingne Covers VOGUE Magazine’s July Issue

VOGUE
VOGUE

Cara Delevingne looks absolutely stunning on the latest cover of Vogue Magazine’s July issue.

In the printed interview, Cara talks about her mother’s substance abuse, her sexuality, her very own partying ways, current girlfriend Annie Clark, backlash from the LGBT Community and more.

Screen Shot 2015-06-25 at 4.57.26 PM

About her sexuality:

“It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it. But I have erotic dreams only about men. I had one two nights ago where I went up to a guy in the back of a VW minivan, with a bunch of his friends around him, and pretty much jumped him. Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all.”

About love:

Being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days.

This should be an interesting read.
