Last night, I had a the greatest opportunity of attending Chester Gregory’s album release party at NY’s Bar 41. Chester was celebrating the release of his debut album “In Search of High Love”. The event was presented by BET.com, SERAPHIN Cognac and 2R’s Entertainment & Media, in association with Dr. Miracle’s & Get ’em Girls Catering.
It was a pleasure to be in the presence of such great talent.
Since it is Sunday, I thought I would give you a little inspirational throwback of the day.
Years ago, I remember hearing this song on the radio as a young adult, riding with my grandmother on the way to church. I thought to myself, “wow, this little girl can really sing!” Then it was brought to my attention that it wasn’t a little girl. It was a little boy by the name of Bryan Wilson. *blank stare*
I could not believe my ears. What an amazing gift this little boy had at such a young age. Although, Bryan is all grown up now, he still continues to minister throughout gospel industry.
I must say, this video really took me back to my younger days and deep thoughts of my grandmother. How she embraced me and kept me in her care while growing up. She is part of the reason why I am, what I am today. Though she is not doing too well in these times, she remains in my prayers every single day. Love you Grandmother!
Ok…I know this was out of the box for me but sometimes, you have to go there. This blog is like a personal journal to us. It has its hilarity, sincerity and FLY formality!
The Fly Guys couldn’t attend Ryan Leslie @ S.O.B. Wednesday Night, you know we were Salty Cause we Digg-R.Les. Luckily there were some FLY Correspondents in the house ( if you ever see something you think we should post or see, send pics and info to firstname.lastname@example.org 🙂 ) taking flicks of all the festivities.
We heard he RIPPED it.
Ryan’s production is always amazing-and the album is sick!
The PussyCat Dolls performed the hit song “Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show. The actual song is from A.R. Rahman’s Oscar-winning track from Slumdog MIllionaire.
The song is really becoming popular. What did you think of the performance?
Nicole is really into her outfit and the chick next to her….LMAO.
