The stars came out last night in NYC to attend the Costume Institute Gala for the ‘PUNK: Chaos to Couture’ exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art! There were some hits and misses of course, here’s our run down!
King Beyonce hit the carpet in a Givenchy printed gown with matching thigh-high boots! I don’t really understand the belt and the gloves and I wish that hair was pulled up …. but *hey* it’s Bey.
Jennifer Lopez SLAYED in this sexy Michael Kors gown, she always #WINS in the Red Carpet.
I don’t know where Alicia Keys was headed with this sequins gown with a leather upper, I do know that she never got there.
Nicki Minaj was there ….
Our sentiments exactly.
Rita Ora looked great in this all white number from Thakoon!
I’m never upset with Madonna! #Nope
Miley Cyrus rocked a long sleeved sheer gown with a funky spiky hairstyle.
Kerry Washington arrived in a Jason Wu floral situation also in 3 quarter gloves (I reject this fad) and bone straight jet black hair.
She looked regal.
Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the only ones who actually stuck to the ‘Punk’ theme and we LOVE it! Complete with a head piece fitting for the occasion, SJP rocked a Giles Deacon gown with Christian Louboutin knee boots.
Tiger Woods snuck in, but nobody seemed to care 😦
Kimye definitely tried it. Kanye West opted for a black suit/white shirt combo and his boo Kim Kardashian chose a flowy floral print situation with a high slit on the side. Kanye continues to push this high fashion image for Kim, but we don’t see it for her. She was much more fashionable before Kanye.
Mary-Kate Olsen looked homeless on the carpet.
NFL star Victor Cruz looked dapper in a blue tuxedo jacket with black lapels, white tuxedo shirt and black pants. He was joined by his girlfriend who rocked a black gown with a crystalized bodice.
LaLa Anthony rocked a sext red number with lighter brown high lights.
Solange Knowles looked incredible as always, in a beautiful blue Kenzo printed gown and natural fro, Solo was definitely one of the best dressed.
Katie Holmes was a VISION in this elaborate white gown, also one of our favorites for the night.
WHo was your favorite?
